Really busy vibrant even on a monday afternoon. Food lacking in taste but im finding that at most wetherspoons atm. You get what you pay for I suppose. Would recommend though. Nice atmosphere staff friendly.
Spacious spoons near the Liver Building, great choice of Real Ale and good value food. I had my breakfast on a rare red Wetherspoons plate, Its a first for me.
The food was great, very hot. Service was friendly & efficient. If you're in Liverpool I'd definitely recommend this spoons. They also have a rooftop area which is pretty cool. Please note: They only reopened it after a downpour.
The toilets are on the ground!! No stairs!!….unless popping to terrace, some stairs, terrace is small but nice. Pub busy in evenings, staff great, breakfast decent. Toilets though!!…what more could you ask for?!
Rolled into Liverpool late and was really hungry. Most places were closed or not serving food at that hour. Walked in The Captain Alexander had a seat and all six of us were fed a perfect meal. Awesome atmosphere. We loved it!
Customers pretty much always know what they get with a Wetherspoons pub. Great value food and drink, with efficient service in a great location. My friend was over from Dubai and he couldn't believe a double Tanquerey and tonic was £5.86 (neither could I, as I rarely check prices!) Probably seating 200 people on the ground floor, it is nearly always full, day or night, most days of the week. Located directly opposite James St train station, it is a great starting or finishing place for those coming from the Wirral line or from North Wales. A short walk across The Strand (road) to the Albert Dock or less than 5 minutes to Liverpool One shopping centre, it is well located for the main attractions in Liverpool.
Very lively here with an impressive landscaped roof terrace. Will need to be patient because it can get really busy at the bar. Shusti the female team leader is an asset to the brand
We loved coming here for our breakfasts during our stay in Liverpool. The pub is pleasant, clean and air conditioned during the summer, and the staff is friendly. Water is provided next to the coffee machines. Great view by the window facing the James Street station exit teeming with activity.
