Really enjoyed walking around, following the river. Cafe was good too.

It was very peaceful and beautiful here. The nature feels so calm and balanced. On the day we visited, there was thick fog, and everything looked fairytale-like and magical — it almost didn’t feel real that we were there. There’s also a lovely café with a beautiful view, and a cosy little shop with nice gifts. We definitely recommend stopping by if you’re looking for something original and special.

Nice place for a walk. I have been twice now and there’s always a good selection of cakes in the cafe and they also have a great gift shop. There’s a car park with quite a lot of spaces.

First time visitor today, what a wonderful natural place to walk around, look out for wildlife and to relax. Cafe excellent. Staff superb even though it was a busy and sunny Bank holiday. Well done.

First visit today and loved it. Had a very leisurely stroll around the Lakeside trail. Quite a warm day but lots of nice shade to get out of the sun for a while. Cafe and staff were also very nice!

Lovely place to go walking and you can take dogs with you. The car park is large and there's always been plenty of spaces free when I've visited. There's a cafe here though I've yet to try it. There are various walks to do. The nature reserve is situated just outside Retford.

Very nice walks of different levels all colour coded ( follow arrows) Cafe by lake is nice way to end a walk but dogs not allowed. Small play area.

Both the wife and I use powerchars the main lake trail is accessible as is the cafe some of the trails have gates these are wide enough for a large mobility scooter some are locked but if you have a RADAR key you'll get through. In summer I often go over with a pair of binoculars and my camera. It's nice and peaceful. If you're into bird watching you can see a wide variety of bird life on the lake.

Visited here on a day trip for the kids, was easy to get to and the map and arrows as you walk around gave easy instructions. The walks are long even the short ones especially with smaller kids, but was a good walk with some nice views of the lake and streams and woodlands. The play area isn't really a play area so not really worth it. Worth a visit if you love the outdoors!
