Great lil Shop apart from the people outside Staff are very helpful The woman with brown hair that works there is there every time and most helpful (deserves a pay rise)
Was in the area doing a job nearby. Stopped into Spar for some lunch. Went a couple of days and always looks scruffy and dirty. 1 star due to poor health and safety standards. Sandwiches left in a box on the foot and not in the fridge. No thanks not for me.
I had an absolutely awful experience at SPAR Outwood. The store manager is egotistical and arrogant and clearly needs further training. His customer service and general attitude is atrocious, and I have overheard staff members complaining about not being given breaks on their morning shift. Personally I think the area manager needs to be made aware of this man, before the business gets sued for constructive dismissal.
It looks alot better, cleaner and more spacious these days. However I only go in this shop once or twice a year. This is due to the expensive prices compared to other supermarkets! And also loud and ignorant staff members.
Just been to Spar in Outwood as I needed some bread. Bought this at normal full price and gets home to find it goes out of date today! This is the last time I go to the Spar! I’ll use Tesco Express instead! I advise everyone who will still use spar check the dates and check the prices because at the till they also have a habit of not syncing the special offers so your still paying full price for everything
The post office is supposed to be open until 2000hrs daily. Took parcels in on 07/03/23 and was told that they have to turn the system off at 1930hrs due to a report that the Royal Mail system produces. As a small business owner this is frustrating and this hasn’t been communicated to customers. The guy who was working was great and apologised about this but very poor from the Spar/Post office.
Love this shop. I remember 22 yrs ago going in at lunchtime. I'd like to know if you can do newspaper deliveries to West Riding Nursing Home? Overall great shop great staff.
Great staff, lovely people however Spar need to sort litter problem outside. Maybe take the wooden fencing away, will stop people sat eating then throwing litter everywhere. First impressions count.
It's a rip off and the staff are rude. Someone didn't have a mask on and they let him get away with it.
Great corner shop. No freshly baked goods/bakery section. An abundance of litter and regular graffiti outside it don't do it any favours.
