I was scammed by a fake promotion on joggers. In the store, both t-shirts and joggers were clearly marked as on sale, but at the checkout, the staff refused to honor the promotion. I was forced to pay the full price, which was three times higher than the advertised price. Out of principle, I will never shop at this store again.
I went in last week, I got to the tills to discover an employee rudely telling people it was self check out only fair enough I am able to use one of them as i was putting stuff through i over heard an older lady asking how to use them he snapped at her "you just scan them" Surely you should also have somebody manning the tills for people who can't use such device? Also witnessed a man running out the shop not sure if he had shop lifted and a member of staff stared at me I felt like I was the one meant to stop the guy like no that is your job not mine.
Last week, I visited Huddersfield Poundland and checked the Gumzy gummy sharks for halal certification. A sales assistant named Rob assured me they were halal, claiming his management had verified it. Trusting him, I bought them. However, on May 16, 2024, another assistant informed me they were not halal. Confirming this myself, I felt shocked and betrayed. Rob had lied to me, violating my religious beliefs. When confronted, he callously remarked, "You're still here, aren't you?" I am deeply traumatised and disgusted by this experience. I will never return to that store.

Great except for the self check out its awful prefer to see a person as I don't get out much an live nxt to a guy who thinks I shud get a man to speak to him if I need owt and all other neighbours think it's okay so I don't talk to nowon now

I tend to only go in here for wool, which is pretty good for the price. Lots of checkouts (manned and self service) so really quick to get out.
I love poundland always something in their you need when you go in or something you have forgotten keep using poundland when you can we need to keep our shops
If for example something is priced online at a pound. It is also priced at a pound on the shelf. You get it to the till and it scans at £1.25. You query it. The staff say no. The price is what it scans at! They even deny the pricing on the shelf when you show them! Avoid. Cowboy outfit. Very poor.
