You can't go wrong with the food here. The Marine Burger is an absolute beast—juicy, full of flavour, and the presentation with the wedges is great. We also shared a Margherita pizza which was cooked to perfection. It’s hard to beat a classic when it’s done this well. Great value for the quality.
Had the pulled pork burger at 1894 and it was absolutely spot on. The pork was really tender and flavourful, and it came stacked with onion rings and a pickle. The potato wedges were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside—proper comfort food. Great portion size with the coleslaw and fresh salad on the side too. Highly recommend!
Highly recommend this place, i come here daily especially for morning coffee, the place is clean and staff i feel make it a success from Lisa/Hope chefs (food is amazing) to Amanda, Sophie, Hannah, Johnny in fact all the bar staff they are so friendly, polite, professional and work so incredibly hard, also general staff who work around the place. Without these people I dnt think the place would be a success, they make you want to come back! Thankyou
The locals seem to like this family friendly bar as it was quite busy when we called in. There was still plenty of seating inside and plenty of benches free outside. Good range of beers and ales at the bar. Quick service from the staff
Strawberry Collins cocktails... highly recommend. Staff could not have been lovelier. Great jacket potato. Clean. Outdoor area too.
The worst roast dinner I’ve Ever had we sent all 6 back staff where lovely but didn’t have a clue what they where doing definitely would not go back.
Food was cold roast beef dinner and my partner ordered smoked salmon cream cheese sandwich it came on sliced white bread not bloomer as it said on menu will not be going back any time soon
Went with two friends just before Xmas. Pleasant, clean place, food and drink quickly served and very nice.

Had breakfast three times in the last fortnight. Easily the best full English I've had and in such a lovely environment. The staff couldn't be more attentive, top marks !
