(I am writing this from my business profile as I don't have a personal one, however I felt it necessary to leave a review to assist other patients in their decision making). After spending a great deal of time researching to find the best cardiologist, I’m pleased to say I couldn’t have made a better choice. Dr. Bhavik Modi’s skill and outstanding reputation were evident throughout both of my procedures. Not once did I feel anything other than complete confidence that I had placed my trust in the right person. The professionalism of Dr. Modi and his entire team was exceptional. His communication was clear and reassuring, and he explained every aspect of the procedures, options, and possible outcomes in a way that kept me at ease from start to finish. I am truly grateful and feel very fortunate that our paths crossed during such a challenging time. My outcome was very positive β€” thank you!

Fantastic paediatric care. Our son attended for two knee operations, which entailed general anaesthetic and overnight stays. The care he received from the Children and Young Persons Team, on both occasions, was second to none. He was constantly monitored and looked after by the friendliest nurses we have encountered. We are grateful to them as it made for an overall excellent customer experience.

The standard of service I’ve received at Spire Leicester over the years is extremely inconsistent. In general, the GPs I’ve seen have all been polite, friendly and give the patient time to speak and most importantly listen to the patient. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the consultants who work at Spire Leicester, who are often rude, arrogant and dismissive and are more interested in talking over the patient instead of actually listening to them. Sadly it seems that customer service doesn’t apply at consultant level, where basic human courtesies like eye contact, a simple smile, or an apology for your appointment time being delayed are not deemed necessary. Please remember that your patients are paying for your time and deserve to be treated with a basic level of respect.

Absolutely appalling experience with Spire Leicester’s admin team. Useless, unhelpful, and utterly chaotic. I rang today with what should have been a straightforward question: which orthopaedic surgeon specialising in elbow reconstruction/implant currently has the shortest operating list, so we could urgently book my husband in for surgery. Instead, I was passed from pillar to post β€” spoke to 5 different people, each time having to repeat the whole story. First sent to theatres (who obviously couldn’t answer), then to nurses (apparently by mistake), then another department, then the East Midlands hub who had no idea why I’d even been transferred to them. To top it off, I ended up being put through to Spire Washington! At that point I gave up and hung up, completely exhausted. On top of that, one of the people I spoke to β€” medical secretary Rachel β€” was not only unhelpful but actively unpleasant and rude. At a time when compassion and professionalism should be the bare minimum, her attitude was dismissive and made a stressful situation far worse. Hours wasted, no answers, and an incredibly stressful experience when we’re already going through enough. The admin team are disorganised, clueless, and clearly just want to fob you off to whichever department will get you off their hands quickest. Absolutely disgusting service. They call this private healthcare?!

I attended this hospital in order to have a Greek Visa medical form completed and paid Β£130 to see a GP there. He requested blood tests and an X ray to be done before he could sign the form. The price quoted for the tests was Β£411 and another Β£130 for the X-ray. This would make the total cost Β£671. My employer refused to pay this and I attended Harley Street where I saw a Dr, had an X ray and blood test completed for Β£222. The staff, Dr and other communications with this hospital have all been perfectly pleasant but in my circumstances it was Β£130 wasted due to the excessive prices or perhaps a low appetite for risk before signing a form.

A year ago we decided to have our daughter assessed for ADHD. We were a little ambivalent about the decision at the time but thanks to the care of Dr Mooncey we are now extremely glad that we took the plunge. She was really empathetic and supportive and made every effort to really get to know and understand our daughter and to help her to recognise her strengths and to support and thus minimise her weaknesses. With online meetings available the whole process was straightforward and unstressful and has helped our daughter onto a really positive path.

I attended Spire Leicester Hospital 2 weeks ago for surgery for an Umbilical Hernia. Like a fool I had left this problem for years without getting it attended to - and it was now protruding the size of a tennis ball 9 year waiting list on the NHS if your lucky - hence the visit to Spire To describe myself as a nervous patient is a major understatement - I was terrified! All my concerns were unnecessary. From arriving to leaving - the treatment was second to none. The receptionists, nurses, anaesthetist and the whole team that looked after me were nothing less than fantastic. Can’t thank them enough. 2 weeks later I’m feeling great up and about, driving, back to work etc. I thought I’d be out of action for 6 weeks or more… Can’t thank them enough and highly recommend Spire Leicester Oh - I almost forgot. One last special thank you. Professor Lloyd that did the surgery. I knew from the start I was in the very best possible hands. Somehow carried out a big procedure with absolute minimum invasion. GENIUS! Many thanks to everyone at Spire!

Good hospital but does not take American Express. When I questioned this with the management, it was due to higher fees. I explained that my local hairdresser takes Amex and that I usually visit Nuffield because they also take Amex. But they do not see the longer term picture in that I would visit them more often if they accepted Amex. The penny pinching can also be seen in the reception area as every time I visit, the queue is often going outside with the reception desk being manned by two receptionists. As a result, they are losing out due to their penny pinching. Their loss, not mine, I will continue to visit Nuffield more often.

The car park at this hospital is an absolute disgrace. To say many consultant appointments are now around Β£200 for 15 minutes you do not expect to have to circle around for half an hour looking for a space and leaving your vehicle at high risk of damage due to the overly cramped conditions. A lot of the spaces seem to be taken by staff but it makes what is a stressful experience anyway so much worse when you can’t just park. I now go to Spire Nottingham instead it is far better organised and more friendly reception staff too.
