   Absolutely disgusted at the lack of customer service recieved today from Kathryn. I was waiting at her till with my son to checkout. She literally served the customer in front of us then walked off shouting across the shop that she was going home. No word to us she literally abounded her queue. She then returned a few minutes later with a male member of staff telling him which till she was on. He opened up another till for the customers and she proceeded to go back to her till oand reopen it, yet oblivious of what she had just done. So why abond your post and shout across the store you are going home? I've never known a member of staff in any store to be so pig ignorant and rude. I have worked in customer service for over 25 years and would never treat a customer this was. Some serious customer service training is needed.

   Good variety of goods, some of the staff are friendly and helpful however and this is a big thing for me personally is it isn’t really Poundland anymore more like £5 store.

   UPDATE: Since this review there has been an increase in items that have a cost of over £1, I would say this covers 80% of the stores items unless on clearance, however, some of the more expensive items are at a decent value for what they are and could cost elsewhere though the quality isn't always there. In an area where prices are constantly on the rise and being a high street stores such as Tesco express already charge considerably more on their items than at a larger store so its a shame that the poundland here is also going in a similar direction of providing more costly items. I'm not changing the number of stars as the cost of things is definitely off putting more times than not. Original review: It's okay but I usually go in to get my partner a sandwich for work but for the past week or so they haven't had any in at all, and it isn't really poundland anymore seen as though 30% of the items in there are anything from £2 to £10.

   It was great til I realised poundland monopoly was 15 quid, I ran home crying my eyes out saying "I want poundland monopoly I'm poor!" My therapist told me to go back and I got 2 drinks for the price of one then I got rid of my depression but still didn't get poundland monopoly so I rate it 4 stars not 5 because my bank account got drained after all the therapy and doctors appointments

   Used to be a good and convieniant shop, however, gone are the days when I could call in and grab a few bits on my way home from work. The doors are locked daily at 5:30pm, despite the sign in the window and their own website saying open until 6. The lights are on the shutters are up the staff are still in there. But no customers allowed for the last half hour
