We usually call in the cafe when we have been in the store shopping. Today we were served by Sian, a pleasant, helpful young lady. Our food was brought to the table by Patryk. He politely apologised for the wait which was minimal. The Bacon Baps were hot and delicious. It was good to see the two young people work together as a team. Serving, delivering food and cleaning tables. Well done

A lot of other shops in a ten mile radius were low on stock for various things. Instead of wasting more petrol came here instead. Not everything but most things were fully stocked Plenty of parking as well so no need to worry too much about dented car doors tonight.

Popped in to Tesco’s in alfreton today, thought I’d kill two birds with one stone and pick up a few bits after visiting the little boys room to evacuate the troops. However the gents had a yellow barrier blocking the door so while clenching my arse cheeks tight together I headed to see if I could grab the key for the disabled loo. The lady at the counter was about as helpful as a dose of diarrhoea which coincidentally is something I was holding in for dear life. I couldn’t have the key because I didn’t have proof I was disabled. I explained the predicament but still rules are rules. So I headed back to the gents shoved the yellow barrier out the way and went into trap 1 just in the nick of time. After a good ten minute clear out I soon realised why the yellow barriers were in place because after flushing I’ve had to trudge through my own watery faeces to escape the now over flowing toilet pan. I do apologise for this mess however as an almost 50 year old bloke with a severe case of IBS surly a sign out front stating the gents are out of order would be beneficial for your desperate customers. On a positive note while I was leaving the toilet another guy saw me walk out and he went in but the obvious mess that awaited him swiftly changed his mind and he was out quicker than Usain Bolt can do 100 meters. I did do my little shop and visited the cafe for a brew but I didn’t want to stick around to long as I could feel round 2 brewing. I feel bad for only leaving a 3 star review but considering I was refused the disabled toilet I had to dock a couple of stars for that whole debacle. But this is more of an apology than a review. Here’s a picture of my brew because I didn’t feel the other photo would have been suitable.

Sick of going here and they are continually not replenishing the shelves. The things I want are not available most of the time and I'm having to shop elsewhere. Two times I have bought a fresh pineapple, the price is matched with Aldi on the shelf at 85p yet the tills say 89p maybe you need to get the staff to update the prices so they match the till prices and maybe you need to get staff who can make a better job of ordering the products that continually sell out so we can all get the items we want in one shop when we go shopping.

My disabled mother in-law relies on tesco . She has 2 deliveries a week . Normally very good service and drivers are very helpful . Tried to book Christmas slot . Not a chance. After spending hours trying she finally logs on and all slots taken . Spoke to customer services and not interested at all . Not happy at all .

Store was generally clean, shelves were generally well stocked. Went in primarily to grab a couple of birthday cards, and the selection of cards available was pretty good for a supermarket. I went for a walk down to the cooler section, hoping to pick up a bottle of kefir to drink. Found small yoghurt style pots of it, but not the bottles. Must be the only supermarket not stocking it. Unfortunately, when walking along one of the chiller aisles, a member of staff displayed absolutely appalling manners. With her head down, studying her scanner, she started waking from her trolley in the middle of the aisle to scan products in the chiller. She knew I was there, but rather than wait the couple of seconds it saw going to take for me to walk past, she stepped in front of me, extended her arm and put her hand up to signal me to stop walking. The fact that she felt no need to be courteous to customers, and that her walking to the chiller was more important was bad enough, but the absolute arrogance of spicing he hand up to my face, without even looking at me, or saying anything was the height of rudeness. Evidently, staff training on general manners might be something Tesco should consider. When entering the store I noticed that Tesco had put up a poster. They are going to have an autism quiet hour on the 5th, and the 12th of October 2019, from 9am, until 10am. We'll why don't you just pat yourself on the back for being so autism aware. What a pathetic and cynical gesture. Seriously, two days of the year? Tesco either you need to actually decide to do something worth doing (how about two days every week where you turn down the music, and the announcements), or else stop pretending you care. Because these "Autism hour" promotions for a couple of days of the year, are a slap in the face. I'll just turn the autism off for the rest of the year, shall I?
