Got tattooed by Mak twice here, super accommodating and understanding artist, never made me feel bad for being indecisive or for having way too many ideas. Super nice to bounce around ideas with. The studio has a cool atmosphere too, it does get a little crowded on weekends it seems, but it's not a big deal to me, personally.
I came to have a tattoo with Mak, one of this studio's incredibly talented and skilled artists to have my first tattoo back in January, it was a custom piece we worked on together since booking to cover scars and they were absolutely fantastic to work with and talk to about the design from beginning to end; they were super accommodating, kind and understanding about changes in the design I asked for making sure the result was exactly what I wanted and no less. They answered all questions and concerns I had about tattooing over scars and how this could effect the design, and I never once felt judged, only met with kindness and understanding. This meant the world and was immensely helpful in reducing my anxiety about getting my first large tattoo and it potentially going wrong and made the entire process so much more enjoyable and easier. They delivered a final piece I'll treasure for the rest of my life, I cannot recommend them enough!! (And I also cannot wait to come back for more!) :) Thank you Mak!
I have had three tattoos done at this shop and I love them all! Thank you to Makena for tattooing me each time and for creating the most stunning designs. Really clean & comfortable space with a friendly atmosphere. From what I have seen all of the artists are incredibly talented. I can't wait to get more tattoos done here.
I came to Avid Ink for my first tattoo around a month and a half ago, and it was a great experience. The building is modern, but still cozy, and had a great atmosphere. The staff were friendly and polite, and it really helped with my first-timer nerves! Makena did my tattoo, and they were lovely, they kept checking if I needed a break and did an incredible job on the artwork! I’ve just booked in for another tattoo with them, and I can’t wait. I would definitely recommend Avid Ink to anyone in Sheffield looking for a great tattoo experience!
Best tattoo studio I’ve ever visited! So accommodating and make you feel super comfortable. The space is clean & welcoming, and the staff and always lovely and chatty - make you feel super at ease! Very accommodating in the whole design / placement process and the tattoo looks beautiful every time. Abby was recommended by a friend and everyone’s tattoos from her look amazing - highly recommend! :)
Went here for my tattoo with Draco, everyone there was lovely, even though i’m pretty introverted i still felt really welcomed by everyone there. The studio was really clean and the artwork and decor was beautiful. Couldn’t have asked for a better first tattoo experience, I was pretty quiet throughout but Draco made sure i was okay throughout the entire process and offered me breaks in case i needed one. Everything was well explained to me from the stencil to aftercare and they had tattoo cream available to buy too. My tattoo couldn’t have come out any better, very excited for my next visit! :)
After searching long and hard for the right place to do black out cover up, I found Avid Ink. Travelled 1.5hrs to get there. Studio was super clean and very welcoming. Talking through it all on the day making sure I was happy with the plan ahead. Half way through tattoo offering me a can of coke to help with sugar levels and then once finished some sweets. The aftercare advice was superb. Tattoo is 4 days into healing and looking amazing. Already planning on going back to get an extension. Osiris and the apprentice were both very welcoming, helping put you at ease.
I came here to Avid Ink for a blackout on my arm after I went to another studio for one and it didn’t meet my expectations at all. I went through a lot of back and forth communication with Osiris prior to booking in as I was a little hesitant and wanted to confirm that going here was definitely the right choice before I booked in, to save myself making another expensive mistake after being let down before. Osiris was very reassuring from the get-go and was very confident in being able to fix my arm. I actually travelled 2+ hours to this studio in Sheffield via train for my session and it was the best decision I ever made. Super clean super slick looking studio with a lot to look at, felt safe and comfortable and was talked through how everything worked and the processes we were going to undergo. Was offered a can of coke free prior to the session to make sure my sugar levels were up which was a nice gesture and just taking that step of safety for their customers was really nice. The apprentice working there (I can’t remember her name - sorry if you see this!) was really down to earth, really supportive and was always asking if I was okay and offering me things which was cool and made me feel welcome and supported. Had the tattoo, it’s had around 1+ week to heal now and it’s turned out amazing, aftercare and healing instructions were detailed and helped me a lot, I did purchase some of the aftercare items on offer in store which were offered to me as part of aiding the healing process and they worked well in the healing of my tattoo. I will say, one gesture I did really appreciate was that I explained to Osiris that some areas on my arm were more sensitive than others and are uncomfortable when under the needle, and he took his time and eased into a lot of those areas so it wasn’t too intense for me and I really appreciated that, also I noticed that I was being spoken to more during those areas being tattooed as it was probably visible that I wasn’t taking it well but being spoken to kept my mind busy and this was something that just made things just flow a lot better for me, and I do value that a lot. I’m back again shortly to get an extension done on my already existing blackout and will no doubt have more praises for this place. Thanks again guys! I think if I could change anything in a practical way it would be to have the ability to actually like sit down and sit upright like you would in a normal chair whilst you are being tattooed, I did feel a bit sick always lying down staring at the ceiling (I managed to mostly count exactly how many tiles there were to keep me occupied - lol) or when I was on my front lying down on my front for some areas I was just looking at the floor, some mobility would be cool as I was just flat for like 3 hours, but it’s not a big problem!
Osiris is one of the best, accommodating and friendliest tattoo artist I’ve met thus far. Started getting tattooed by him in 2018 and counting, and never regretted this decision. Yan(I think that’s how to spell her name) was super welcoming and friendly as well. Love the design of the studio! Thanks Avis team! Highly recommended!
