Clean and inviting environment to be tattooed in with professional and caring artists. I have been tattooed by Mark on numerous occasions and he has always been wonderful. I have felt cared for and listened to throughout each of my visits. I am also over the moon with the resultant new tattoos!
I have been tattooed by Joe a few times now. I love every single one he’s done for me. He is always happy to make adjustments to design and placement. He also made me aware of how my tattoos on my inner bicep would look on the skin when relaxed before tattooing, so I would be happy with the outcome. He is knowledgeable in his craft and is happy to answer any questions before and after your booking. Every time I’ve visited forty two tattoo, he and the other tattooers there are very welcoming - Joe is especially great at calming any nerves you may have too. His work station and the shop as a whole has always been clean and well sanitised. His aftercare advice has left me with lovely healed tattoos that get compliments on the regular. 5/5 from me!
I've just had my second visit with Matt to finish off my tattoo. I'm absolutely in love with it. Lots of people old & young complimenting on how beautiful it is. Matt is amazing too, very friendly & making sure that I was comfortable. I'm already planning my next tattoo with him. Bloody brilliant tattoo studio.
I have gotten pretty much two sleeves from Joe at Forty Two. Highly impressive work at a very fair price. The level of communication to get exactly what you intended is second to none. Have never had a bad experience. I love the work so much I still get on a train for four hours every six months just to come back, and will probably continue to do so.
I've had lots of tattoos at lots of places and Matt is the only person I'll let tattoo me now. Clean, safe and fun environment to be in, amazing staff (big shout out to Mark in particular - what a guy!), great designs and tidy work at sensible prices. Top class tattoo studio

Got inked by Joe, process was really professional with all the info sent by email before the appointment. It had been a few years since my last, and only, tattoo so the information sent really helped. The studio is really nice, comfortable and clean. Joe was great for the 2 hours or so I was there (I didn't notice the time pass) and he was always on-hand after if I had any questions about the aftercare of the tattoo. I'm also VERY happy with my tattoo :)

Had an amazing experience at this studio, I personally got tattooed by Joe Summers and he made sure I felt comfortable and well received. Did an amazing job on my tattoo and helped guide me through the entire process to ensure I had the best results possible. He was open to hearing my thoughts and I was open to hearing his. Atmosphere was amazing, studio was really clean, all the artists were very warm and friendly. Definitely recommend
