   Have used this place a few times and each time, my cats came back with an awful smell and once they came back with fleas. Jenny has always been nice until I mentioned this issue. She then told me they're closing down for good at the end of 2024 however, this isn't the case. Since then, whether I ring or my husband rings, we're told there's no availability before we've even provided the dates. It's a shame really. You're also not allowed to see the space where the cats stay, which should have raised some red flags.

   We have used this cattery for many years now usually 3-4 times a year and our 4 cats absolutely love it. Its a little out of our way but we dont mind travelling as it puts our minds at easy knowing they are with Jenny. Great prices compared to some places. They don't board dogs which is great for the cats. it's just generally a lovely tranquil place for your cats to stay while your off enjoying yourself.

   I have left my treasured cats with The Achates family-run cattery for over 20 years. They have lovely, spacious cat-pens where the cats can see the outside gardens and the family passing by. Every little whim is catered for, they even leave the radio on so that the cats don't feel lonely! Every kitty gets strokes, cuddles, checked over and there is always someone there unlike some other places that can be un-manned most of the day. The owners work closely with all of the local vets, are quick to spot any problems with the cats and to get any necessary treatment. I am a genuine reviewer and am very grateful that over the years I have been able to go away and feel confident that my cats are in the very best place possible! Kath Paterson
