   Needed an appointment quickly as my cat George became ill quite quickly, was given an appointment that morning and within 5 minutes called me back to say there was a cancellation and did I want to come in sooner. Always friendly girls on the desk and Owen was great as he knew George's history with his bladder problems and kept him in to do blood tests and put on a drip , had a phone call about 3 hours later to tell me what they found and what they were doing and got to pick him up that evening. I have always found when I needed an emergency appointment with them that they always get him seen as so as possible.

   I would like to give 5 stars however having attended all 3 branches of Rufford Vets, I try not to use the Holly Lane office if at all possible. Parking is an absolute nightmare as the clinic is on a tiny dead end residential lane with only 4/5 spaces. Also some of the staff need to be a bit more pleasant, a smile & a greeting wouldn’t go amiss! Lovely staff in Tarleton & Southport - maybe they are just happier in their work, despite the massive pressure that they are under.

   We took our temporarily kept injured pigeon named Geraldine to Rufford Vets. Despite not being on their client list, they took Geraldine in to heal. We thank you for your kindness and sure that Geraldine is also grateful. Would recommend.

   My cockerel sustained an injury from a dog. I found it difficult to find a vet willing to have a look at Colin. Rufford was recommended and An appointment was made quickly. My first visit was a positive experience. Lovely staff at reception and a vet who gave me confidence when he knew the exact location of the injury and the treatment to give. Thank you!

   I have used Rufford Vets, for over 40 years. The service and caring my pets have received have always been excellent. This latest visit was just a general health for my new dog of just 2 weeks. She is a 6 month old, smooth coat Border Collie. That I rescued from a family that could no longer cope. Excellent service again.

Outstanding service provided for all my cats with the utmost care. Sarah is such a good vet and couldn’t do enough for my boys. Just a brilliant practice. Thank you for everything over the years, we have now moved area so are at a new vets hopefully just as good as yourselves xx
