“Great model, easiest hotel I've been to for checking in and out. Loved the living space and kitchen, felt like a home away from home even though it was only a couple nights. The bed and pilows were amazing, best night sleep I've had in ages. Will definitely come again, and recommend!!!”

“Stayed 24th November for a cheeky one night away,The site was the cleanest site we have ever been too,toilets and showers were spotless,the girlfriend was over the moon with the free hair dryer (easily pleased).Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to visit Southport,”

“As usual Screwfix gets top marks, always very helpful. When I got home screwfix had sent their news letters out and there was something new that I required. When I checked my local store unfortunately the items were not in stock as yet. This time I ordered my goods around 8pm and they were availability for pick up after midday the next day. I picked them up at 10am the next morning. Excellent service as normal.”

“Thank you for helping with the baby bird we had rescued on Thursday night. He loved the meal worms and grew stronger with us for four days. I realised he was actually a goldfinch so we drove all the way to Kirklees valley rescue as he needs a special diet and will be released with all the other baby goldfinches :-)”

“I would highly recommend We Love Pets - West Lancs to look after your pets. Helen spent time getting to know us as a family and our dog and his needs. Helen placed us with Heather to look after our dog, she looked after Eddie as if he was her own. She updated us regularly with photos and videos. This completely put our mind at rest whilst away. We Love Pets were professional from start to finish and I would not want to use anyone else for pet boarding.”

“Can't recommend Paula enough. She's absolutely fantastic! She's extremely friendly, professional, knowledgeable, reliable and just knows exactly what we and our cat needed whilst we were away! We knew he was safe, being well cared for and getting lots of cuddles! Fab and funny watts app photos and videos galore from Paula were evidence of this. Will use Paula without hesitation in future. “Just had three relaxing nights here and I cant begin to tell you how FANTASTIC this place is. Pauline is an amazing host, friendly and welcoming from booking onwards, nothing is too much trouble. Barford House is ideally situated just the right walking distance from all attractions on the seafront, and perfect for Lord Street and all its shops/cafés and Restaurants. The station is a quick 15/20 min walk away making access to Liverpool easy and not at all expensive. The accommodation itself was immaculately clean, spacious, well equipped and in a quiet area of the town. You'd need to take your own towels and tea towels but that is no hardship at all!! To sum up, if you are wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life then Barford House is the perfect place for you !.”

“Just returned from a 2 night stay here with my wife and daughter , family room was perfect for us as our daughter is 6 and loved it being us all together , room was very clean and they added a nice touch with a Easter hunt for a hidden chick to redeem a prize from reception . Started the stay off really well , we stayed in the annex building of the hotel . It was quiet and peaceful in the evening . The restaurant in with the hotel was a beefeater restaurant/pub , we opted for the meal deal . So our daughter got free breakfast , and we got our breakfast and 2 course evening meal and first drink included . Food was great . Freshly cooked , even the hot breakfast . I think it was £5.99 for 2 courses for our daughter to add onto our evening meal . The staff in both the restaurant and the hotel were a credit to the companies . So friendly , welcoming and great at engaging conversation with us . Location was great as we went to formby beach before checking in ( around 20 mins away ) and then to Southport the following day in Uber which only cost £10 each way ! Thank you so much for making our little Easter getaway a happy one”

“Joined Southport Vets a few months ago after we inherited COCO the kitten. We have had a few appointments since then and all the staff and vets are outstanding. They have looked after her so well we just had to add a review. The cost of the treatments are very competitive and we cant recommend enough. They kept our COCO an extra hour as they wanted COCO to stay for more of her cuddles ha ha”

“I arrived at this Hotel, without a booking, and it has been one of the most stressful days ever. I was almost in tears; I was so exhausted. The staff there could not have been more helpful, kind and thoughtful. They got to be booked in and settled down with speed and grace. I was extremely grateful. My room was at the back of the hotel, it was quiet. The room was well-equipped and clean. Many thanks to the staff there.”

“Where do I start. First of all reception were very welcoming and even managed to give me a wet room as I am disabled. The lift is very secure and cannot be accessed unless you have a room card. Breakfast is superb with the highest quality produce. Th staff are young, friendly and very happy to help. Dinner is relaxed again with superb food. If you like a whisky the have a fantastic range and I personally have to recommend their cocktails. Rooms are spacious, clean and have very comfortable beds. May I also pass on our thanks to Jim for his hospitality. If you’re looking for a really good hotel then go to the Bliss.”

“The perfect room,for the perfect weekend. Spectacular view, perfect location. Metres from the fabulous promenade, with miles of flat ,wide,walkway. The sun terrace is a perfect place for a drink before evening meal,or,just sit,read,enjoy the sun. Very helpful staff throughout the hotel,underground parking,lifts to all floors. Fabulous decor in the lounge area. First rate. Highly recommended.”

“Clean, safe and quiet. Great price, in a convenient location, shops, dining and bus stops right outside. Friendly staff. Decent shower and a powerful desk fan, which was welcome. We had a family room and my son said his bed was comfy.”

“Was a little apprehensive after reading the reviews. However! What a delightful surprise... I'd booked with a friend and our dogs for one night .. the room was very spacious clean and looked like it had been recently decorated with a huge bathroom. The staff were very polite and helpful . The location of the hotel is perfect within walking distance to all the bars restaurants shops and the beach. Breakfast was a buffet style with lots of hot and cold choices. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a lovely stay !”
