Not the first time we've stayed here. Clean and comfortable, does what it says on the tin. A great location in the town centre with a Morrisons supermarket behind it. The only niggle is the parking. You can use JustPark on the Morrisons car park, there is also paid street parking.

Horrendous experience here whereby the alledged “ Manager “ Suzanne took it upon herself to move our belongings into another room then ring us to tell us AFTER she had done it . She refused to divulge the Area Mamagets contact details. We were booked in for five nights and apparently she “ needed” our room despite going to reception that morning nobody mentioned needing to move room It was a complete violation and she trying to blame us for THEIR error - no apology offered .She was rude , abrupt and unhelpful The rooms we had stank of dog. The two reception staff were lovely and helpful Lewis and Chloe but I feel sorry for them working in such a poorly run , dirty hotel with a Assistant Manager who treats people like that . She kept telling us that “ they will get a disciplinary “ She’s the one who needs a disciplinary for her appalling treatment of customers through no fault of their own . We left the hotel - made a place complaint for the missing items and went to the lovely BOLD Hotel who know how to run a hotel - it was totally amazing. Shame on you Suzanne and Travelodge . A budget hotel does NOT entitle you to do as you please !!! We will never return to ANY Travelodge

The room was very basic but fine. The chair in the room was damaged, and probably had been for a while. The bathroom was a bit tatty in places but clean. The guy who checked me in was efficient but not at all warm or friendly (I didn’t mind). I would expect a plug or phone charging point next to the bed in this day and age but it didn’t spoil my stay. The tiny tv up on the wall did make me laugh. It’s a low cost, budget hotel that served my purpose so can’t really complain.

Clean, safe and quiet. Great price, in a convenient location, shops, dining and bus stops right outside. Friendly staff. Decent shower and a powerful desk fan, which was welcome. We had a family room and my son said his bed was comfy.

Location was central, but the side entrance and 10pm curfew suggested an unsafe environment. The room was clean, but as for 'dog friendly' you couldnt swing a cat....nevermind a dog! It was also on the 2nd floor. ....how ridiculous. When your dog needs to go, often they cant manage to wait for a lift!! Such a shame. Travel lodge Wales was excellent and thats why we booked again. Checked out early because so dissappointing and impractical. Not recommended for dog owners

Great value for money. Stayed over Christmas for only £25 per night. Rooms are clean and spacious and staff are lovely. Only downside was that I didn’t have service on my phone in the hotel, but the wifi was very cheap so can’t complain.

Absolutely awful. First room stank of smoke. Second room - the windows wouldn’t close. Third room - the blinds wouldn’t close. All four rooms were incredibly small. I saw six different people stuck in the corridor with key cards that didn’t work. There’s no where to eat on site and no where nearby either. The whole place was worn and stained and in need of a refurb. The shower looked so bad that I went without. Also no plug sockets by the bed.

I think it's better than a 2 star oyster slightly at least 3 star it was clean the rooms are OK clean and comfortable and the staff are very friendly and welcoming walk out the door and you in Southport. The only thing I couldn't understand is why they haven't started to put loo brushes back I will have to start asking when I book an hotel that way I don't have to go.

Walked in. No-one on reception.5min wait to check in. Proceeded to floor we were allocated to be met by smell of weed. Entered room, it needed refurbishment. Parking not easy. Went to designated car park £9 in coins required for 24 hr stay. Tried to understand instructions to pay by card ?!?!? Drove out and parked in street. £3 per 3 hrs, but, free from 6pm til' 8am. Had to get up early and move car to Morrisons for rest of morning. Returned to room for shower..... No hot water. If radiator controls heat as well as hot water, there should be instructions on how it works
