“Absolutely fantastic hotel! Beautiful rooms, outstanding staff & customer service. Very friendly, welcoming & warming welcome! Bar is exceptional - well stocked & great range if different drinks. The breakfast the next day is continental which was absolutely delicious. Fruits & cereal to start with freshly poured tea & coffee & juices. Then a basket of warm pastries, ciabatta, Croissants & a lovely selection of jams. Fresh toast - both white & brown delivered hot to your table. The basket also included delicious salami, cheese & parma ham. Deliziosa!! The rate was very reasonable too for a Saturday night. Dont hesitate in booking here you wont be disappointed!! And as for us: We will definately return & we can't wait! Thanks again, Karen & Jimmy Butterworth x”
“Great model, easiest hotel I've been to for checking in and out. Loved the living space and kitchen, felt like a home away from home even though it was only a couple nights. The bed and pilows were amazing, best night sleep I've had in ages. Will definitely come again, and recommend!!!”
“The team at Northwood were brilliant at every step - great communication, helpful, always professional and very patient - regardless of the challenges. I would definitely recommend Northwood Southport, a great choice”
“Stayed 24th November for a cheeky one night away,The site was the cleanest site we have ever been too, toilets and showers were spotless, the girlfriend was over the moon with the free hair dryer (easily pleased).Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to visit Southport,”
“I stayed at The New Talbot Hotel with a couple of friends at the weekend and I was extremely pleased with the level of comfort of the room, friendliness of the owners and cleanliness of the property. The concept of having a self catering hotel is just wonderful and refreshing, really making us feel like we were in a 'home from home.' The décor was gorgeous and the location was perfect to walk straight to the centre of town in about 6 minutes. Thank you again for an overall wonderful experience. 110% recommend! :-)”
“Good selection of beers attentive staff warm pub with a good crowd in will go again. What more can I say its my local now”
“Lovely big place, with disabled access. Great freshly cooked breakfast (£7.50 extra) as I only stayed 1 night. Tea/coffee in rooms. Nice and warm & polite, nothing is too much trouble staff. Staying 1 night again soon.”
“Just had three relaxing nights here and I cant begin to tell you how FANTASTIC this place is. Pauline is an amazing host, friendly and welcoming from booking onwards, nothing is too much trouble. Barford House is ideally situated just the right walking distance from all attractions on the seafront, and perfect for Lord Street and all its shops/cafés and Restaurants. The station is a quick 15/20 min walk away making access to Liverpool easy and not at all expensive. The accommodation itself was immaculately clean, spacious, well equipped and in a quiet area of the town. You'd need to take your own towels and tea towels but that is no hardship at all!! To sum up, if you are wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life then Barford House is the perfect place for you !.”
“Thank you to the team at lynwood. Just had our fourth stay over a four year period and can't thank the team enough for another great 4 day stay over. Clean fresh room every time”
“Just returned from a 2 night stay here with my wife and daughter , family room was perfect for us as our daughter is 6 and loved it being us all together , room was very clean and they added a nice touch with a Easter hunt for a hidden chick to redeem a prize from reception . Started the stay off really well , we stayed in the annex building of the hotel . It was quiet and peaceful in the evening . The restaurant in with the hotel was a beefeater restaurant/pub , we opted for the meal deal . So our daughter got free breakfast , and we got our breakfast and 2 course evening meal and first drink included . Food was great . Freshly cooked , even the hot breakfast . I think it was £5.99 for 2 courses for our daughter to add onto our evening meal . The staff in both the restaurant and the hotel were a credit to the companies . So friendly , welcoming and great at engaging conversation with us . Location was great as we went to formby beach before checking in ( around 20 mins away ) and then to Southport the following day in Uber which only cost £10 each way ! Thank you so much for making our little Easter getaway a happy one”
“Stayed with a friend and really didn't want to check out! Everything is done to a high standard the staff were lovely both on reception and in the restaurant .Great breakfast. All in all a lovely stay very comfy rooms and beds too! Highly recommended”
“My twin sister and I stayed last night for 1 night for our birthday. We hadvbeef stroganoff with rice and green beans for our dinner, it was lovely. 2 lovely young girls afterwards came out with a lovely cheese cake for us, a lovely surprise. Room was comfy place was lovely. Just had to ask for an extra glass for the room, and would have wanted more milk that’s all , but Lisa and myself colette had a lovely stay. Continental breakfast was free, if you wanted a cooked breakfast it was £6 , think this should be free. All the staff were lovely and friendly. Their is no parking at the hotel , but free parking just across the road”
“I arrived at this Hotel, without a booking, and it has been one of the most stressful days ever. I was almost in tears; I was so exhausted. The staff there could not have been more helpful, kind and thoughtful. They got to be booked in and settled down with speed and grace. I was extremely grateful. My room was at the back of the hotel, it was quiet. The room was well-equipped and clean. Many thanks to the staff there.”
“Where do I start. First of all reception were very welcoming and even managed to give me a wet room as I am disabled. The lift is very secure and cannot be accessed unless you have a room card. Breakfast is superb with the highest quality produce. Th staff are young, friendly and very happy to help. Dinner is relaxed again with superb food. If you like a whisky the have a fantastic range and I personally have to recommend their cocktails. Rooms are spacious, clean and have very comfortable beds. May I also pass on our thanks to Jim for his hospitality. If you’re looking for a really good hotel then go to the Bliss.”
“Ate here in a big group twice. The staff were brilliant especially the young women who seemed to be running the place even though we met the manager the 2nd night. Food was great, between us we tried most things on the menu and all were reasonably priced and cooked to a high standard. Drinks were well priced, the cask beers were good value. Pity they can't pull them well, the first pull is far to hard and creates a lot of waste. Dog friendly in the bar area but not the restaurant. The signage showed plenty of things going on over the next few months inc Xmas and New Year, worth checking out if you are visiting, prices seemed good and something for everyone. Def back next time I am visiting Southport.”
“Very Clean and tidy B and B. Sheila was helpful and couldn't do enough for you. No drama and no hassles. Thanks”
“An absolutely lovely hotel with very professional and friendly staff, great food & drinks, classy and comfortable rooms. I rate the hotel highly and will stay again.”
“The perfect room, for the perfect weekend. Spectacular view, perfect location. Metres from the fabulous promenade, with miles of flat ,wide, walkway. The sun terrace is a perfect place for a drink before evening meal,or,just sit, read, enjoy the sun. Very helpful staff throughout the hotel, underground parking, lifts to all floors. Fabulous decor in the lounge area. First rate. Highly recommended.”
“Lovely reception on a cold wet Friday in Southport, lift, stairs and public areas all clean, modern and well laid out. We were in the very top rooms, very clean, nice bed and reading earlier reviews the management have taken things onboard. We stayed one night, room a little warm, maybe turn the whole heating down 2-3. Other than that, shower, tv, drinks were amazing for the money.”
“Our favourite place to meet up regularly with friends for lunch.Great value Always helpful and plenty of seating. Dog friendly with a dog menu (proper cooked food for dogs at good price unlike another place where I paid twice as much for just perfectly packaged dog treats)”
“Mandy is great and my dogs love going !”
“I booked a 4 night stay at The Coach House with my wife and 2 children for a little end of the summer holidays UK break before the kids went back to school. The host (Alan) was very helpful and friendly and assured us that he would be on hand to help us out with anything we needed. He showed us round the house taking time to make sure that we understood how everything worked and where we could find everything we might need. The house itself is a converted actual coach house which is super quirky with a kitchen and dining area in 2 restored stables complete with big solid stable doors with hoof marks on them. The rooms are a very generous size and very comfortable. Upstairs (a beautiful original period, wrought iron spiral staircase!) there is a large family area with a full size pool table (which the kids loved!) a TV, 2 comfortable sofas and some occasional chairs so plenty of room for playing games if there is inclement weather. Luckily we were blessed with fine weather and were able to visit Blackpool to see the illuminations as well as Morecombe all within an hours drive and on our last day we were able to walk to the local train station (about 15 minutes walk) to catch the train directly into Liverpool center. A great place to stay there was plenty we didn't get round to doing in a beautiful part of the country. We will definitely be coming back and I would not hesitate to stay in the coach house again. Thank you for your hospitality!”
“A very nice room with a table and chairs to enjoy the view looking out to kings gardens, Comfortable beds and bedding , had a great nights sleep. Small kitchen area with everything needed for self catering. Staff were lovely. And a smashing breakfast in a nice dining room. We will certainly return!”
“Clean, safe and quiet. Great price, in a convenient location, shops, dining and bus stops right outside. Friendly staff. Decent shower and a powerful desk fan, which was welcome. We had a family room and my son said his bed was comfy.”
“An absolute joy to be here at The Royal Clifton nothing is to much trouble at all, Bedroom Suite was wonderful and the food excellent. We will be booking again next year as our experience was fantastic.”
“Was a little apprehensive after reading the reviews. However! What a delightful surprise... I'd booked with a friend and our dogs for one night .. the room was very spacious clean and looked like it had been recently decorated with a huge bathroom. The staff were very polite and helpful . The location of the hotel is perfect within walking distance to all the bars restaurants shops and the beach. Breakfast was a buffet style with lots of hot and cold choices. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a lovely stay !”
