I booked DB&B. I got no dinner first night! I asked if there was any chance of a pizza! That was my dinner! Bed, if you like a firm mattress then you are in for a treat! Good room sizes, I had a double, enough room for my wheelchair ( electric) dinner was a buffet! I expected restaurant style, food was tasty but what it was like sat under those hot lights ? I'm not sure if I would consider any of their hotels in the future.

Just returned from a two night break at this hotel. The reception lounges and ballroom were very nicely decorated and comfortable. The staff throughout were friendly, helpful and professional. The food was excellent. Very tasty and hot. I would definitely stay there again.

An absolute joy to be here at The Royal Clifton nothing is to much trouble at all, Bedroom Suite was wonderful and the food excellent. We will be booking again next year as our experience was fantastic.

The rooms are quite dated, however the bed and bathroom were both clean. I was disappointed to find a dog biscuit on the floor in our room when we arrived. Obviously missed by housekeeping. The first day I managed to have a tepid shower but afterwards the water was freezing cold for my partner and the second day neither of us was able to shower as the water was freezing again. We mentioned it to reception who said that maintenance were dealing with some issues and other guests had complained. The food was really nice, lots of choice and everything was hot. The restaurant was clean and staff throughout the hotel are lovely, very helpful and polite. It's a shame but we probably wont be returning. The hotel needs alot of work doing to it. While we were there a massive hole appeared in one of the ceilings in the corridor on lower floor. The staircases need attention, weren't as clean as they should be. And although rooms are non smoking the smell of smoke was emanating through the hotel.

Definitely recommend and will return. Thank you royal Clifton and staff for making our stay so nice, especially Sam. Would definitely return and recommend.

Just had a lovely weekend at an event at this hotel which is in a great location. The rooms are very clean and the beds very comfortable. The staff are fantastic!! They were so helpful and friendly, especially the night manager Sam. He is a lovely man. Nothing was too much trouble for him and his team.

Very Comfortable room, Great view over looking gardens. Food very good. Restaurant a bit cramped, needed better organisation. Entertainment fabulous Abba & Rod exceeded expectation. Good atmosphere and couldn't fault the staff. The night manager was brilliant, very hardworking. Nothing too much trouble for him. Hotel well positioned, close to main town. Look forward to swimming pool reopening. Just a fabulous few days. Definitely recommend and return. Thank you to all involved in our stay.

I loved the location of this Hotel, the building photographs very well, boasting its faded grandeur inside and out. on the inside it is in desperate need of a revamp. It is clean, dust free, clean bathroom and kettle etc, but the curtains could do with a change as you could see loads of spills on them. The bed was extremely comfy and I slept very well, the staff were friendly and helpful. Although our shower didn't function properly the morning we left Alex and team dealt with it very well. I would definitely return and bring the kids too

Stayed for business at this large sea front hotel in Southport. Slightly dated but decent sized room but it was cold. Glad of the warm duvet! Bathroom was clean and lovely hot water. Breakfast was tasty, good selection. Did not eat dinner there due to work and restaurant last sitting is 7.15pm. Parking is £5 for 24 hours if in hotel carpark, otherwise its £10 on the promenade for the same 24 hrs. Team were friendly. Check in and out easy.
