“Great model, easiest hotel I've been to for checking in and out. Loved the living space and kitchen, felt like a home away from home even though it was only a couple nights. The bed and pilows were amazing, best night sleep I've had in ages. Will definitely come again, and recommend!!!”
“Thank you to the team at lynwood. Just had our fourth stay over a four year period and can't thank the team enough for another great 4 day stay over. Clean fresh room every time”
“Just returned from a 2 night stay here with my wife and daughter , family room was perfect for us as our daughter is 6 and loved it being us all together , room was very clean and they added a nice touch with a Easter hunt for a hidden chick to redeem a prize from reception . Started the stay off really well , we stayed in the annex building of the hotel . It was quiet and peaceful in the evening . The restaurant in with the hotel was a beefeater restaurant/pub , we opted for the meal deal . So our daughter got free breakfast , and we got our breakfast and 2 course evening meal and first drink included . Food was great . Freshly cooked , even the hot breakfast . I think it was £5.99 for 2 courses for our daughter to add onto our evening meal . The staff in both the restaurant and the hotel were a credit to the companies . So friendly , welcoming and great at engaging conversation with us . Location was great as we went to formby beach before checking in ( around 20 mins away ) and then to Southport the following day in Uber which only cost £10 each way ! Thank you so much for making our little Easter getaway a happy one”
“I arrived at this Hotel, without a booking, and it has been one of the most stressful days ever. I was almost in tears; I was so exhausted. The staff there could not have been more helpful, kind and thoughtful. They got to be booked in and settled down with speed and grace. I was extremely grateful. My room was at the back of the hotel, it was quiet. The room was well-equipped and clean. Many thanks to the staff there.”
“Where do I start. First of all reception were very welcoming and even managed to give me a wet room as I am disabled. The lift is very secure and cannot be accessed unless you have a room card. Breakfast is superb with the highest quality produce. Th staff are young, friendly and very happy to help. Dinner is relaxed again with superb food. If you like a whisky the have a fantastic range and I personally have to recommend their cocktails. Rooms are spacious, clean and have very comfortable beds. May I also pass on our thanks to Jim for his hospitality. If you’re looking for a really good hotel then go to the Bliss.”

The sun terrace is a perfect place for a drink before evening meal,or,just sit, read, enjoy the sun. Very helpful staff throughout the hotel, underground parking, lifts to all floors. Fabulous decor in the lounge area. First rate. Highly recommended.”
“Clean, safe and quiet. Great price, in a convenient location, shops, dining and bus stops right outside. Friendly staff. Decent shower and a powerful desk fan, which was welcome. We had a family room and my son said his bed was comfy.”
“An absolute joy to be here at The Royal Clifton nothing is to much trouble at all, Bedroom Suite was wonderful and the food excellent. We will be booking again next year as our experience was fantastic.”
“Was a little apprehensive after reading the reviews. However! What a delightful surprise... I'd booked with a friend and our dogs for one night .. the room was very spacious clean and looked like it had been recently decorated with a huge bathroom. The staff were very polite and helpful . The location of the hotel is perfect within walking distance to all the bars restaurants shops and the beach. Breakfast was a buffet style with lots of hot and cold choices. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a lovely stay !”
“Great place to stay for two nights. After we requested the tope floor before arrival they gave us a room on the top floor. Luckily, there was a fan as it was very boiling. It was very quiet (probably because it was the start of the week.) Very nice staff and nice breakfast. Very good location, very central with easy access to transport and things to do.”
“Absolutely fantastic hotel! Beautiful rooms, outstanding staff & customer service. Very friendly, welcoming & warming welcome! Bar is exceptional - well stocked & great range if different drinks. The breakfast the next day is continental which was absolutely delicious. Fruits & cereal to start with freshly poured tea & coffee & juices. Then a basket of warm pastries, ciabatta, Croissants & a lovely selection of jams. Fresh toast - both white & brown delivered hot to your table. The basket also included delicious salami, cheese & parma ham. Deliziosa!! The rate was very reasonable too for a Saturday night. Dont hesitate in booking here you wont be disappointed!! And as for us: We will definately return & we can't wait! Thanks again, Karen & Jimmy Butterworth x”
“3 night stay, excellent. Very welcoming, spotless rooms, close to sea front, parking at rear. Happy to recommend.”
“First time we've stayed at Le Maitre it was only for one night, but I would highly recommend it. Gary came out greeted us with a lovely warm welcome, carried our bags up to our room. Shirley was just as welcoming running us through breakfast and times available then showed us to our room. The room was spacious spotlessly clean with plenty of storage, well stocked hospitality tray and complimentary toiletries. Bed was so comfortable we had a great nights sleep. Shower was powerful, plenty of running hot water. Breakfast was absolutely delicious hot and really good produce used. There was plenty on offer cereal, fruit salad, fruit juice, full English breakfast, scrambled eggs 'n' smoked salmon, toast tea/coffee. The location is near to shops, bars, cafes, beach. Oh forgot to mentioned parking at the front of the B&B.”
“I stayed at The New Talbot Hotel with a couple of friends at the weekend and I was extremely pleased with the level of comfort of the room, friendliness of the owners and cleanliness of the property. The concept of having a self catering hotel is just wonderful and refreshing, really making us feel like we were in a 'home from home.' The décor was gorgeous and the location was perfect to walk straight to the centre of town in about 6 minutes. Thank you again for an overall wonderful experience. 110% recommend! :-)”
“Lovely big place, with disabled access. Great freshly cooked breakfast (£7.50 extra) as I only stayed 1 night. Tea/coffee in rooms. Nice and warm & polite, nothing is too much trouble staff. Staying 1 night again soon.”

“My twin sister and I stayed last night for 1 night for our birthday. We hadvbeef stroganoff with rice and green beans for our dinner, it was lovely. 2 lovely young girls afterwards came out with a lovely cheese cake for us, a lovely surprise. Room was comfy place was lovely. Just had to ask for an extra glass for the room, and would have wanted more milk that’s all , but Lisa and myself colette had a lovely stay. Continental breakfast was free, if you wanted a cooked breakfast it was £6 , think this should be free. All the staff were lovely and friendly. Their is no parking at the hotel , but free parking just across the road”
“Ate here in a big group twice. The staff were brilliant especially the young women who seemed to be running the place even though we met the manager the 2nd night. Food was great, between us we tried most things on the menu and all were reasonably priced and cooked to a high standard. Drinks were well priced, the cask beers were good value. Pity they can't pull them well, the first pull is far to hard and creates a lot of waste. Dog friendly in the bar area but not the restaurant. The signage showed plenty of things going on over the next few months inc Xmas and New Year, worth checking out if you are visiting, prices seemed good and something for everyone. Def back next time I am visiting Southport.”
“Very Clean and tidy B and B. Sheila was helpful and couldn't do enough for you. No drama and no hassles. Thanks”
“An absolutely lovely hotel with very professional and friendly staff, great food & drinks, classy and comfortable rooms. I rate the hotel highly and will stay again.”
“Lovely reception on a cold wet Friday in Southport, lift, stairs and public areas all clean, modern and well laid out. We were in the very top rooms, very clean, nice bed and reading earlier reviews the management have taken things onboard. We stayed one night, room a little warm, maybe turn the whole heating down 2-3. Other than that, shower, tv, drinks were amazing for the money.”
“This time was afternoon tea but as always from the moment you walk in, the staff are engaging, polite and courteous while Willing to help, everything was immaculate with the fine attention to detail making the difference. The food was everything you want. Fresh plentiful and tasted amazing. We had extra wine and chips and the bill was reasonable.”
“Lovely place to stay, be nice to add some mirrors throughout the rooms tho for the ladies”

“We arrived here for a one night stay over the bank holiday weekend and we're greeted by a very friendly lady on reception. We had a nice big room with a fridge, kettle, hair dryer, bath and TV. The location is perfect, only a 10 minute stroll into town. Comfy bed and and a great breakfast too. A big thank you to all the staff for your hospitality, we will be back soon.”
