An absolutely lovely hotel with very professional and friendly staff, great food & drinks, classy and comfortable rooms. I rate the hotel highly and will stay again.

Stayed here with my mum and sister. The staff were amazing. The rooms were clean, spacious with air conditioning. The only complaint was food wasn't served at this hotel, we had to travel to The Bold for breakfast! Met a lovely bunch of friendly golfers, Rob, Charley, Dave, John and the rest.

On first impression the hotel is decent, got there half hour early and our room wasn't ready which is fair enough not moaning about that but we thought we'll sit at the bar have a drink before we go up... the prices isn't acceptable. 18 quid for vodka and a pint which the pint had a funky after taste to it. Sorry yous can't expect to charge prices like that when you can walk 1 minute down the road and pay half of that. Got to the room and it was small with a small double bed. Right in view of another room where we're they can look in. We noticed someone looking at us when we was about to get changed so we just closed the curtains. The walls are paper thin that we could hear one of our neighbours in detail doing the naughty naughty let's just say she didn't agree as much as he did... anyway The noise of the doors in the hall banging kept us awake pretty much all night, I was half temped to put something in the foot of the door to stop it closing because it was that loud. TV remote is broke we struggled to even turn the TV on took a few goes. Our room was 117 so if you book this hotel room good luck. The positive about the room was we had a mini fridge.

I had to rate it on the room, which was excellent. Had everything we needed. Didn't like that it's a busy bar underneath which you have to walk through to reception, which is also a bar area. Handy if you like a drink and watch sports. Maybe if you have young children you may not like it. Drinks in the bar were expensive but are surrounded by other bars, so if you like a drink, it's prime location.

What can i say about the place?! We stayed here last weekend and we truly received the best service. The rooms were exceptionally clean, warm and cosy. Amazing value for money with a perfect central location. The sister hotel over the road ‘The Bold’ was fabulous too. My nephew had a family surprise meal there and the food was just beautiful. The service from all members of staff were absolutely exceptional. They couldn’t do enough for us. All members of staff we saw were so friendly and welcoming but in particular Josh, Howard, Tom, Ellie, Chloe and Cilla were all so lovely. They all contributed to such an amazing stay. We will absolutely be back! Thankyou! Kate Brown

Lovely decorated hotel both in the rooms and bars and a lovely balcony and outside seating area for a lovely afternoon drink in the summer. Nice spacious room and bathroom. Parking is recommended behind the hotel but toptip we parked in a little car park at £3 per day a 2 min stroll opposite the front door past the Bold pub.

No heating in the room on possibly one of the coldest nights of the year. Radiator in the shower room not working either. Wife rung down to reception but nobody came to check it. Had to sleep in t shirts underwear and socks, hardly a romantic getaway. Had a wash next morning and the water was barely warm. Nice hotel with a lovely room let down by the thing we needed most that night....warmth.

Went for a social get together in what I'd call their sports bar, big tv and sound. Lovely place for 1st time visit, comfortable seats and room, bar staff good. Will definitely visit again.

Comfortable bed, clean, coffee/tea making stuff. Hot towel rail, windows that open. Good dark curtains, for a dark bedroom. All things I want in a hotel. Breakfast was good, he had the full fry and was happy, I had the eggs benedict, also happy. Coffee was ish, but that's standard. Car parking was a good price. Good location for wandering around Southport. All good.
