Absolutely fantastic. Stayed here whilst working in Ormskirk. Very very stylish bar downstairs with a good choice of beers. Didn't try any food but it looked good. Staff very friendly. Rooms equally stylish if you're looking for accommodation, not huge but very comfy and each room has a fridge. Prices were unbelievably good. Would highly recommend.

I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere in the bar and dining area. The bar had an excellent choice of ales and other drinks on sale. The food was very reasonably priced also. There were plenty of guests' children about but all seemed very well behaved. The only downside to my visit was that one of the gentleman's urinals was backed up. Staff were informed of the problem and they said an engineer had been contacted and was on his way, but I left before his arrival so.....

Ate here in a big group twice. The staff were brilliant especially the young women who seemed to be running the place even though we met the manager the 2nd night. Food was great, between us we tried most things on the menu and all were reasonably priced and cooked to a high standard. Drinks were well priced, the cask beers were good value. Pity they can't pull them well, the first pull is far to hard and creates a lot of waste. Dog friendly in the bar area but not the restaurant. The signage showed plenty of things going on over the next few months inc Xmas and New Year, worth checking out if you are visiting, prices seemed good and something for everyone. Def back next time I am visiting Southport.

I came here for a wedding experience as one of the guests I have been to Southport a couple of times. Is my friend lives nearby in Banks..I lovee the seafront over all my experience at the old towel was pleasant. The staffed were extremely friendly, funny and helpful, and very quick at their job. I didn't have a downfall as I really enjoy people. I would recommend visiting here for any occasion. The rooms were very nice. Not what I expected but they weren't awful. They were very clean and bright You can ask for a luxury memory foam topper The price in is quite acceptable. I would say it doesn't have any gym, but you can use a gymn nearby And the food from the carvary was beautiful. I'm not a fan of the breakfast only because I don't eat seed oils and it was cooked with them. Overall I am quite happy. Wish all the stuff here. All the best and thank you again

We went here twice unfortunately for wakes for funerals. My husband is a very sensitive ceoliac and they were able to provide gluten free food which my husband ate without getting ill which is brilliant. The gluten free brownie was odd though as it had crunchy bits of coconut in it. The catering for both wakes was lovely, with soup and a selection of sandwiches and cake. The room looked really good. We didn't stay at the hotel so can't comment on rooms.

Had Sunday carvery today. Love the glass screen and being served. Server puts food on your plate fir you. I asked for an extra roasting, no problem. Very hygienic. No hoards of people leaning over everything. No queues. Food excellent, service efficient and friendly. Will definitely go back

I am glad I chose to stay here for a weekend break just last week. After trawling through loads of places I finally chose this one and it was fantastic. The place is lovely and the food was outstanding. We had breakfast both days and the pastries were gorgeous I couldn't stop myself they were crispy and so fresh my mouth is watering now! The full English was very good quality. We had the carvery one night it was very good the portions were huge and food was so tasty. We relaxed in the bar later on comfy chairs I felt happy staying in than go looking for another bar. I would definitely go back here. Our room was in the front and was really lovely very spacious and lovely big shower. All the staff worked hard and were attentive thanks so much for a great welcoming weekend.

Went to the Bold for dinner with my dad , wife and daughter. The range of drinks is good, including several real ales as well as cocktails and wine. The food is nice pub grub but the portions are large and it is all very well presented. Service is informal but friendly. My only concern was the music which was toooud for a dining area.
