Been to a few shows, most recent was quite far back. Was expecting poor view, but nope - absolutely brilliant!!!!! Staff were helpful on the phone prior to booking, very respectful re my questions re. partner needing minimal step access to the lift etc Lovely theatre, with many big names appearing. Long may it continue!!!

Open spacious art deco style ballroom.. very run down and could do with a lot of work to bring back to former glory. Used as events soace. Had a craft market on when I visited. Some beautiful.aspects and tbe building itself is really lovely..Just needs some TLC. Still can get a great shot or have a nice time inside. Toilets and number of entrances. Building inside is pretty cold.

Lovely old venue but just some notes. Watched BGT auditions and we were sat in the circle - no view of the Judges or Judges table from row G where we were seated unless we stood up. The sound from all microphones was particularly muffled/low. Only 5 ladies toilets 100s of seats so always at least a 10 mins wait at a time, plus there are 5 steps inside the ladies toilets to go up before reaching the toilet stalls.

Once you are inside this is a great venue, full of history. Great views of the entertainment and comfortable seating. The exterior could do with a lick of paint but the real letdown is the surrounding area (not the fault of the venue of course!), not a nice location to walk through to get there but don't let that put you off!

Did the Venue Tour on Wednesday. Guide was so informative and engaged. Really enjoyed seeing round the complex and hearing about its history. We finished the tour with optional Afternoon Tea which was really nice. Would highly recommend this tour.

Visited October 22 for a dance competition. When I walked in to this venue I was very impressed with this beautiful old interesting building. The Empress Ballroom was stunning. The ceiling is a thing of beauty. It made a fantastic venue for the young people attending this event. It was good to see that the ceiling is in the process of repair to fix some of the plaster work but this did not take away the atmosphere of this facility. I hope funding is available to allow the beauty of this great building to keep shining for future users. I hope to return in the future and see the final finished ceiling. The building has lots of rooms, cafe, snack bar, bars and halls. Venue has lots of places to stay within walking distance and Blackpool Tower and beach are nearby.

Great show. Wonderful staff who went out of their way to assist my disabled daughter, both entering and leaving the theatre. It just put the cherry on top of the icing on was a thoroughly enjoyable day. I will definitely be going there again. Sooner rather than later I hope.

What an amazing place. The walk from the beach to the main doors is amazing, every step exciting. If you've never been you will be surprised by the size of the building, the famous statue, the huge galleon bar,the restaurants and of course the opera House. You don't have to venture far from here to have a great time.If your here to see a show you will love it. The theatre is massive, seats are quite steep and it's a long way up to the balcony. You need to be pretty fit.Cant wait to go back.

Beautiful and much more extensive than expected. Many rooms and areas all in an Art Deco style. You have lots of room to move around. The actual concert/gig venue is really impressive with very high ceilings and good views from most locations - although a top tip is to get on the balcony as there is a bar there too

Beautiful historic building with amazing bar that feels like you are inside an old sailing galleon. Very poor signage outside and in. It isn't clear that the Opera House Theatre is situated inside the Winter Gardens complex, nor were we aware that there were eating places and more than one bar inside. Many people were struggling to find the Opera House entrance even inside the building. But apart from the poor information and signage, it was gorgeous. Theatre very impressive.
