My sister & I stayed here Friday 25/10/2024 - wow! We had the Aston Suite and it was beautiful. Immaculate and perfect for our stay. The self catering element is brilliant - you are free to out your goods in an allocated cupboard & fridge. Would highly recommend.

The new talbot looks newly refurbished. It's immaculately clean, nicely decorated with a good ambience. My room felt like a home from home comfortable and immaculate. The kitchen area was again superb with all the facilities to cook a full meal . I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. The location is also great for all the local amenities.

Returning Guests. As returning guests of the lovely New Talbot Hotel we were every bit as happy with the Hotel as on our previous visit. Our room was great and had everything we would need, the bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was brilliant. Also there is ample parking for guests which for me is a must. Debbie is a great host and I feel she has got everything just right at the Hotel.

I stayed at The New Talbot Hotel with a couple of friends at the weekend and I was extremely pleased with the level of comfort of the room, friendliness of the owners and cleanliness of the property. The concept of having a self catering hotel is just wonderful and refreshing, really making us feel like we were in a 'home from home.' The décor was gorgeous and the location was perfect to walk straight to the centre of town in about 6 minutes. Thank you again for an overall wonderful experience. 110% recommend! :-)

I visited the Talbot hotel with an over 50s group. We had a great meal, a game of bingo and there was an entertainer. We had a fantastic afternoon. The staff were very friendly. Great experience.

Booked last minute just for one night and had no complaints...guy on reception was really friendly and helpful...hotel clean and room spacious with bath and shower in en suite. Great location as only few minutes walk to Lord Street. Breakfast was included and waitress was lovely...friendly and helpful again. Breakfast was really tasty and they got it spot on for us as we are fussy so wanted crispy bacon and some items removed and it was no trouble. Would stay here again...decent price too compared to others..think off top of my head it was £72 for the night

This hotel and the staff were so lovely and accommodating, everyone was friendly on arrival and throughout our stay, we actually had two rooms (we booked last minute so missed out on a family room but that was fine) both rooms were clean and felt fresh. It was exactly what we expected for a hotel in Southport very beautiful victoriana building styled in an old school way which we love. Very traditional. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms and the stairway and reception were very clean, no dust at all and I did check. I actually hadn't slept well all week due to stress and slept like a baby in these beds as did my son. Breakfast being free was an absolute bonus and the staff went above and beyond given that we were a child a vegatarian and a celiac that needed gluten free and no cross contamination. Tea and coffee in the room and a hairdryer and a shower with good pressure and hot water, clean towels and a TV with free view. Basically everything we needed for a nice stay in Southport. The hotel is walking distance from the main area in the centre (5 minutes walk) but also very quiet at night which was perfect. The staff were very helpful especially Ryan and the owner with giving advice on where to go which beaches and shops they wanted to give us the best stay possible. Thank you for a lovely stay we can't wait to come back possibly child free when the bar is open for a bit of a couples getaway. I can't recommend this place enough, don't expect the ritz but do expect to be treated like it was your home and you are family.

We were greeted by Gilbert on check in. He was wonderful and so welcoming. Check-in was easy and the information and all the little touches in the hotel were fantastic. Our room was so clean and the bed was so comfortable. The lounge is comfortable and the drinks were varied and a good price. When we went down for breakfast they did gluten free toast! And the breakfast was lovely! I had nothing to complain about and I could have quite happily stayed there for a week! Thank-you.
