If I could give 0 stars, I would. I took my son’s Xbox in for a hdmi port repair. Took longer than expected and was quoted £70. After waiting an hour longer than the time I was told to collect it in this dingy dusty smelly little workshop listening to loud noises and the Xbox screws being rounded off by an electric screwdriver or drill. I was then told it wasn’t the hdmi port and something else that was damaged internally that I would need to pay an additional £90 to repair. It was clearly the hdmi port, I am an electrician and could see the damaged port. I refused to pay an extra £90. I received the Xbox back with the new hdmi port still installed but clearly intentionally damaged to make sure it still wasn’t working. This was done because there was nothing wrong internally and so I couldn’t just plug it in and see that it was fixed with the new port after the lies I’d been fed about internal parts. They expected me to just say ok and pay the £70 plus an additional £90 for a part internally that was not replaced or touched. When I said no, he panicked and damaged the port he had just replaced rather than taking it out again. I then took the Xbox to a different more reputable business who informed me that the new port had been intentionally broken, snapped in a way that could only have been done on purpose, also that the screws were all damaged and rounded off, they needed to be replaced, they showed me all of this evidence so I could see what was done by the incompetent man that was working on it previously, they also checked the internal part that was allegedly damaged and needed to be replaced for an extra £90 and could not find a problem at all, it was just the hdmi port that was intentionally damaged that needed to be replaced, plus the damaged screws now too. The new engineer in the new shop replaced the hdmi port only and the Xbox worked perfectly, no extra internal parts were needed no extra charged for parts that were not damaged at all. Basically I was being scammed by this guy and when I didn’t fall for it, he damaged the hdmi port he had just installed so I couldn’t check when I got home. Absolutely shocking behaviour by a business that is clearly struggling. The intention seemed to be, fit a new hdmi for £70, say something else needed to be replaced also, charge another £90 for absolutely no extra work done, leave me waiting an extra hour and pretend to repair extra parts and charge me £70 plus £90, £160 in total for a hdmi port replacement. I’m so glad I refused and got a second opinion, hdmi port replaced by someone else for £80 and works fine, replaced the damaged screws for free. AVOID THIS SCAMMER, DINGY, DUSTY AND DIRTY LITTLE WORKSHOP WHO CANNOT BE TRUSTED AT ALL AND WILL SCAM YOU OUT IF MONEY FOR PARTS NOT NEEDED AT ALL, AVOID AT ALL COSTS, there are plenty of genuine and trustworthy people out there, this business is not the place to go for any repairs, they damage items and charge for parts not needed and not replaced at all then will break what you have given them to ensure it still doesn’t work when you don’t fall for his lies. This place won’t last long at all, I wouldn’t give him anything at all, any electrical device is unsafe in his hands, can’t even unscrew screws without damaging them, stay away from this business and protect your items by going elsewhere!
Brilliant service just before Christmas. Phone screen stopped working, replacement screen was ordered and fitted all within 24 hours. Happy with the price too! So glad I stayed local and rang Tech Guys 360.
Worst experience ever. Took my sons nintendo switch in for a LCD repair. They put a new screen on “free of charge” as a “goodwill gesture”, however there were deep scratches on the screen. I have the owner on voice recording admitting that he knew the scratches were on the screen when he put it on, but I can’t have an issue with this as it was free! When I asked for a new screen with no scratches he said I had to pay an additional £40. I asked for the old screen to be put back on and he said this would also be £40!! Very nice scam you have set up!! Replace with defective parts for “free” then charge when customers aren’t happy with the defect! He initially refused to give me my device back and was slamming it down on the side. I eventually had to call the police for him to give my property back to me. When I got home my son attempted to play the switch but the controllers won’t connect.. probably to sue with the slamming on desk that was done earlier I suspect!! Absolute con artist, avoid like the plague. Owner very aggressive and intimidating.
Used Tech Guys 360 for a laptop hard drive rebuild/repair for the first time, after a recommendation from a friend. Can’t fault the professionalism of the staff and the communication throughout the whole process was first class. It was clearly explained to me what the job would entail and what the (very reasonable) cost would be. Job was completed very promptly and the laptop was even physically cleaned prior to handover back to me. Will definitely be using Tech Guys 360 again!
Had a screen replacement done by Tech Guys, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at the service I received. Nothing was too much trouble, everything was explained clearly. Price was better than expected, they also fitted the latest in screen protection which is truly amazing….these are the go to guys and I would highly recommend……Well done guys keep up the excellent work.
This was without doubt the worst customer experience I’ve ever had with a local company. I brought my iPad in for a battery replacement but after receiving it back there was a screen fault. I ended up bringing it in for a total of 3 times and each time it came back with something else wrong. Towards the end they got very rude and claimed it was my fault that I hadn’t read their terms and conditions. There are still issues with the iPad. I absolutely would not recommend this company to anyone, nor would I trust them with any other device.
Neil at Tec guys is very professional.He built me a gaming pc which is outstanding quality.He kept us informed of its progress and is always at the other end of the phone if you need him.I would reccomend Neil at Tec guys for anything Tec related or repairs on iPads,phones ect, he is fantastic and a lovely man.
