The staff were very helpful and nice! The room was smaller than I expected, but it was clean. I really liked that the room had a tiny fridge and an electric water heater. The location is great! Close to Edgware road station, which allowed me to go to several touristic places easily. The restaurant options around the hotel are very diverse and I really enjoyed having close by foods from so many different cultures.

Convenient location for getting around London. Sometimes felt a bit exposed because there is a cafe at the ground floor, with no control over who can enter the hotel. Helpful and friendly receptionists. Entering the building and room was a bit fiddly at first, but once you get used to the "smart" locks/system it was fine. Cleaning service was not included in the room price, but additional towels/toilet paper/tea/coffee were available to guests. Small room (single room with double bed); there was no chair, so nowhere to sit other than the bed and a bench. Very comfortable mattress. Good size bathroom. The first few of days the heating was not working properly in the room, and it took repeated calls for it to be finally fixed. Was offered some compensation for the inconvenience. The Sonder app was very handy and easy to use for all requests, with fast and efficient responses. Overall would recommend for a central London stay.

The room was okay. Felt very claustrophobic and there was barely any place to put luggage and other personal belongings, in both the bedroom and bathroom. There was only a small window, which was facing another room's window and surrounded by brick walls, and no outside view. There was a small opening of natural light if you stuck your head out and looked up, but absolutely no natural light in the actual room. I feel that the pictures on the website are very misleading as they are edited to make it look like thee is a lot of natural light. This also meant that there was very little circulation, and the room often felt stuffy and humid--even with the air conditioning on. The key-code system was very efficient and made the space feel really safe. Basically the entire first floor and a portion of the second floor was under construction, which was relatively loud. This meant that the ground floor doors were open all day due to construction workers moving in and out, which once led to a mouse getting into the building one time. The location was good and right next to the tube. Easy access to London city center. Pretty good options for food in the neighborhood as well. When looking to book an early check-in due to my flight arriving early, I was only given the option to book another room and pay the full price of a one night stay, despite only staying in that room for about 2 hours. The lobby staff were very kind and convenient and one woman eventually informed me that I could check-in early to my main room free of charge, as well as not pay for the one night for the separate room. It has now been several days after my stay and I have not yet received a refund for the one-night stay (which I also had to pay a late check-out for). I was promised a refund for the full night. I have been on several calls and the staff has not followed me up with the situation, which has led to more and more calls. When we had to check out of the main room at 11am, there was no staff in the lobby for some reason, and there were several guests waiting for them for assistance. Luggage storage was convenient, free, and easy. The hotel was convenient for a space to sleep, but was not fit for hanging out during the day or spending any quality time inside. The price was definitely not worth it, and the service was not up to basic standard. I would not book again.

The hotel is well located in London. However, the condition of the rooms is not great. The carpet was stained and apparently not vacuumed. In addition, there was a leak in my bathroom. The water was running through the spotlight in the ceiling, which isn't very reassuring... The staff I met at reception were friendly, although little was done to resolve the problem. The rooms are also fairly poorly insulated, which somewhat reduces the feeling of peace and privacy.

Room was dirty. Stains in the carpet that needed cleaning were everywhere. Concierges were basically a warm body in a chair to satisfy a legality and serve little to no purpose. Bathroom was damp and moldy with defunct exhaust fan and stained grout in the shower that could have been easily cleaned, but wasn't. Stains on the hall carpet were there for the entire 3 days of our stay with no sign anyone cared to try to remove them. Hilarious considering the housekeeping cart was parked right beside the stain. Rooms starkly furnished and the space inefficiently under-utilized a table in the room where there was a nook would have been a great use of the space... Certainly better than packing on the bed or storing luggage on the floor like we did. Curtains were off the tracking and didn't close because of it. Fridge was nice to have, but without a microwave it seems sort of beside the point. Air-conditioning was very much appreciated. Location is a mixed bag. Very convenient for tubes and busses but also a bit dodgy at night. Not a place to go if you're looking for upscale, but adequate if you just need a really convenient place to rest your head. We got a deal on the stay but otherwise it would not have been worth the money.

A good experience. Rooms are clean and comfy. The staff is friendly and helpful. The check in is unusual but not complicated. And the access from the Costa cafe isn’t a problem. An overall good establishment.

Pros- location. It's located near the paddington station and also can easily get to the subway line. Close to the hydepark. Cons 1. Room size - whatever you expected it's smaller. 2. No make-up room(cleaning) - They were not provide the room cleaning eventhough we stayed more than a week. To get the cleaning, you need to pay and book one day before the date. 3. All things by yourself - Changing mattress & quilt cover. Changing toilet trash bin.  Refilling amenities includes toilet paper. 4. No elevator - They have inoperable one. 5. No microwave 6. Noisy. BTW the rooms likes toilet flushing sounds or chatting sounds. 7. Location - little bit far from city center or landmarks.

This is a horrible place to stay, especially if you are a woman traveling alone! Good news: close to the tube; nice staff Bad news: neighborhood is sketchy at night; no peepholes in doors to rooms; no phones in the room. I asked what we are to do in case of an emergency & I was told that n that instance we are to go to their app. Are you serious??? Someone’s breaking in my door (remember…no peephole so I can’t see them) or the place is on fire & I’m supposed to go to their app? Not safe!!!

It was a great hotel. I don't know why people complaining about this hotel. It was really easy to check in and your free to go and comeback with a password. The rooms are small but perfect. Only thing of service. When people stay longer cann you make the rooms clean after maybe 3 days or something. It's a small tip!! Maybe see you next time.

DEFINITELY THE WORST WAY TO STAY!! THE WORST: THEY CHARGE ME 100 POUNDS FOR THE CLEANING FEE . How ridiculous is that. When they email me they said it is because of the amount of trash in the room. Before leaving we tried to put all the trash next to the trash bin (tiny tiny tint trash bin) and when we called the CS they said they need more time to clean the room so they have to charged me. They promised to get back to me regarding this charges but its been 10 days since i called and never receive any email / calls from them Claimed to be an award winning hospitality service where everything is based on mobile service, so they force you to communicate everything from the apps and all the CS are based in US so just expect them to reply you very slow. Had to book in edgware road since its close to my business meeting and due to the last min booking i didn't check this sonder on google before (my bad); It has lived up to the all bad reviews in here. During my stay: 1. Walls are very thin and not sound proof so it was very noisy; my neighbour has a small child who cries most of the time (while i have to do online meeting); but i am not a fussy guest and i can understand having kids sometimes can be challenging 2. Not very safe. All the lift access are through the coffee shop next door where everyone can roam freely and not to mention that everyone can go up / down with that lift to your floor without any access keys. Which is kinda creepy especially for solo female traveller. 3. Room was pretty small, but whats even worse is how ridiculously how small the bathroom is. So small that u cant even open the door fully because there is a sink right in front of the door. And the sink drawer has been pretty beaten up. 4. They dont clean you room unless you requested to do so. I was having a hard time in the room because its pretty small and 1 have 3 big suit cases open so there are no room left to move around; hence during my 14 days stays i didn't request for any cleaning service. This is definitely my last stay ever with sonder!! Had another stay with them in the US earlier this year and got the same terrible experience as well.
