   This agency is decent when it comes to helping you find a match, but not so much when it comes to resolving issues with host families. After my contract ended, my LCC stopped assisting me, even though I never received the educational funds from my host family—I had to pay for them out of pocket. My LCC also didn’t help when my host family failed to pay me my last paycheck. My host family was extremely cheap and tried to avoid expenses by any means necessary. For example, they bought me a Mint Mobile phone plan, which slowed down and became unusable after just 5GB. They also had to be constantly reminded to follow basic contract rules, like paying for my toiletries. My LCC, Melissa in New York, was fully aware of this and admitted that technically the host family was still “within the rules.” The most serious issue was when the host father took money from me after a car accident that he caused and completely ignored the person involved. He lied and claimed he had filed an insurance claim, but when I contacted the insurance company myself, I was told no claim had ever been filed. I provided this proof to the agency, but they still sided with the host family—even after he took my money. This clearly shows that their priority is the host family, not the Au Pair. Despite reaching out to my LCC and even her manager, none of my issues were resolved. I believe the program may offer a good experience for some, especially for traveling, but in my case, the host family abused the system, and the LCC clearly favored them over me. They asked questions in a way that seemed designed to protect the company, not support the Au Pair. I would not recommend going with this company. Even though it’s considered one of the better agencies, many other Au Pairs in New York were having similar problems. The LCC’s priority is to protect the host family, who is their real client.

   2 years ago I decided to go as an Au Pair to United States and chose this agency after reading loads of reviews and opinions on blogs. I am so glad that I did that, because since then my life has gotten so amazing. I had an amazing experience and wouldn't change it for anything else. The agency helped me with all the documents and visa process and if anything was wrong over there, there was always someone ready to help me. If I ever decide to go as an Au Pair again I cannot imagine going with different agency! :)
