Celebrated my wife's 40th birthday here and I couldn't of asked for anymore. I was able to come in a couple of hours beforehand to decorate and drop off her cake. The food was all great and they did a great job bringing out the cake. They even gave us boxes to help share the cake leftovers which was appreciated. Looking forward to going back again!
Excellent food and lovely staff. Nachos were delicious and the chicken & mushroom pie was packed full. The meringue was fabulous.
First visited 3 years ago when in Scotland on holiday had to visit again worth the trip. One of the best places to eat that I been to. Called again 2024 for lunch always have to visit when we are nearby on holiday. Very friendly staff always make a fuss of the dog and food as good as ever. My wife said she just wanted a salad and I ended up with half due to the size of it.
Lovely food - as always. We went for my husband's birthday. It is a dog friendly place, but folks with dogs are in a different area to the main restaurant. We've been here a few times now.
Wow!!! This place is an absolute gem of a find! Thee best food I've had in YEARS! a wizard works in that kitchen for sure! Such great value too. Staff AMAZINGLY friendly just superb on every level x
We had a long drive from Stoke on Trent to Edinburgh, we stopped here for some food and it was incredible. The best meal we’ve had in months. Staff and manager are very professional and gave us great service. Again amazing tasting food! Best burger and sea bass we’ve ever eaten. Thank you all!
We had great tasting food at The Mercat Bar & Grill on an early, quiet Thursday evening. We enjoyed a tasty and filling pie, as well as some fajitas, that left just enough room for a cheeky dessert. The staff were really friendly & the place is also Dog friendly too, in its own area, which is essential for us going out.
Such an amazing place! Food was incredible and the staff were so friendly. Dog friendly, and provided with treats and water for her to drink for free. So much food we couldn't finish it all. Will be back as soon as the kitchen upgrade is complete!!
Such a great experience. The food was delicious! Haggis Cigars, crazy good! Service staff and waitresses all smiles and friendly. Had a private whiskey tasting through Lindsay Tours. What an education on whisky. Proud of our highly educated American that found his niche in Scotland teaching the love of whisky AND whiskey to anyone willing to learn. The “Ex prime minister Gordon Brown” was a Scottish gem. Get him to say the only phrase he can do with an American accent “Y’all like my whisky?!”
