Ordered online and told food ready for pick up at 6.20 son been sitting waiting in take away since 6.20 it is now 6.50 outrageous,poor service won't be back!!!!!!
Been on the bevvy since lunchtime, ended up here on a quest for survival. Canton Express didn’t just feed me — it saved me. Curry sauce hotter than the sun, chips that could soak up a lifetime of bad decisions. Would trust these legends with my life (and my hangover).
I got a take out last night from here, I’m from Glasgow and have moved to East Lothian I have tried many Chinese takeout here never had a bad one but this has been my best so far will definitely be back again, not sure if it’s possible but if asked could they make the curry sauce a little bit spicier? I like a little kick, the counter assistant who served me was a very nice lady too.
I get a takeaway from here a couple of times a month and it's always really good. Tried lots of dishes. The crispy shredded beef in honey chilli sauce is great and the spicy wings are really nice. Food is always ready quickly for collection. I always collect so can't comment on how fast they deliver.

This was always my choice for chinese food as its just along the road,theres another 3 to choose from. Foods always hot and decent,but the last time i was there (since prices rocketed) my chicken balls were more batter then chicken,the chicken had the same thickness as the batter,chicken fried rice which is normally lovely and would highly recommend hardly had any chicken,considering this is the most expensive out off the 4 chineses its not good value for money as your getting half the portion you did before . Which is a shame because I now have to look for a new chinese.
Definitely gone downhill recently. Waited 40 minutes from ordering in the shop to having to ask where my meal was when 3 customers after me and a delivery went out before me. I only asked for sweet and sour with chilli chips not a big order. When I eventually got it, it was vile. Strange bubbles on the batter, dry meat and the sauce was like jelly dropping out of the dish. Definitely wont be back
Ordered lemon chicken and fried rice. When it came the sauce was in separate container. The chicken was dry and the coating brick hard. Poured sauce. Dark brown and tasted disgusting. Phoned to be told it was served with a sweet and sour sauce. Did they not think to mention this when I ordered? Definitely not sweet and sour sauce. Disappointing!!
Tried them all ( as you do ). Once a month treat. The food was lovely, it was piping hot, decent price's and the staff where very pleasant. It can be "hit or miss" when ordering take away and everyone will feel different, whether it's here or anywhere, but twice now, great food. Just the usual, eye's bigger than your belly and ordered too much. Confident to tell you folk's, you won't be disappointed.
This is the best chinese take away in Tranent in my opinion,food is delicious,however their delivery service leaves a lot to be desired,we always phoned our order in at 5pm when it opens so you think your delivery should be quick,WRONG,takes up to 1 hour 45 mins,so we now phone our order and pick it up and only takes about half an hour,maybe they need to think about hiring an extra delivery driver as this must be loosing them customers,I know if I couldn't pick up my order I would have to go somewhere else,I have brought this up with the owners he laughed then said sorry only because he was prompted by another customer to do so.
