Food is average. The minestrone had barely any pasta bits or veggies, it was mostly tomato, which by the way, tasted the same as the tomate sauce in the pasta dish. But my 2 stars are mostly due to the price - £50 for a poor minestrone, 2 pasta dishes and a margherita, no booze. The quality of the food was definitely not worth the price.

Great experience in Cafe Mariana. The staff were absolute lovely. Marion and Kerry were exceptional, kept us happy with every visit to the table and made us feel so at home. Also I must add, the Chef, Fraser absolutely delighted our tastebuds. Will absolutely be back on as regular visits as we’re able to make out at work. Brilliant.

Excellent restaurant with lovely food, both quality and quantity! Attentive staff all for a good price! I'd love to return for an evening meal sometime. Keep up the good work! Revisited 2025.Excellent?

Visited Cafe Mariana this afternoon after having having a couple of hours free. After a quick Look at the reviews I decided to try it. I was not disappointed. Staff were friendly and welcoming the food was lovely and well priced. The decor is a bit strange and doesn’t really go with the bar or with the menu. But overall I enjoyed my visit and would visit again.

Everything is a 10/10. Ordered a pepperoni pizza and I haven’t had a pizza quite like that, the cheese was nice and stringy the pepperoni was great. Also had a side of Cajun seasoned fries and bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Cajun chips were perfectly seasoned and tasted amazing. The bread was nice and warm and soft fresh as well. Atmosphere was amazing we sat in the beer garden, lovely décor gorgeous place. Service was a 10/10 everyone was so lovely and had a great attitude. Food came fast only waited around 10-15 minutes and everything was fresh. Recommended to everyone

As always a lovely meal at Cafe Mariana. We went for a late lunch after a morning of bridesmaid dress shopping. Service and food were lovely. They were able to accommodate a lactose intolerant friend really easily with no fuss which really was great. A real credit to Kirkintilloch. Will be back for cocktails with my friends next time as they looked lovely!

I have been a few times and always had a great service and great food. Ideal place to take the family for lunch. I had the calamari fritti and the risotto funghi which was excellent and very good value as part of 2 courses for £13 at lunch

In for the second time after a while today. As a vegetarian, there were a few options. Had asparagus pasta. Was a bit stodgy in the middle and couldn’t really taste the asparagus. Would love it in a spinach version instead?! Service and atmosphere were great. Little suggestion, if they replaced the huge barrels at the entrance for seats or a bench, for waiting customers, would possibly be more comfortable for customers instead of having to queue and stand at the door.
