   Had a lunchtime meal here today. It was fabulous! Steak cooked exactly as the diner asked with home made chips and two beautiful chicken dishes made to perfection. The dessert were gorgeous. Again all made in the restaurant no bought in mass produced fayre here. Chenzo is also a wonderfully attentive host. This was every bit as good as the last time I visited many years ago. Nice to see it is still under the same fabulous ownership.

   Visited Chenzo’s restaurant with my partner on an off chance as we had never been to Scotland before. Fair to say we stumbled upon an absolute gem! The owner was super accommodating and really friendly. I can hands down say the food was the best Italian food I have ever tasted! Proper authentic Italian food made by an Italian man for a great price. If we are ever in Scotland again we will definitely be returning. Would 100% recommend to anyone wanting a nice meal out.

   I had a really nice experience at this restaurant! I tried the pasta, cheese with tomatoes, and a chocolate cake with ice cream for dessert. Everything tasted fresh and well-made. The pasta was cooked just right, and the cheese with tomatoes was a great mix of flavors. The chocolate cake with ice cream was the perfect sweet ending. The chef was friendly and helpful, and the place had a cozy, relaxed vibe. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for good Italian food!

   This place is so, so good. The owner’s were so kind and talked to us about our trip. I had the garlic pizza bread and then split the homemade chocolate cake and tiramisu with two other people. Everything was hot and so tasty. Highly recommend, especially if you’re staying at the Houstoun Manor House nearby as it is just a few steps away!

   We were walking around trying to find a place to eat, since it's our first time in Scotland. We wanted to walk around and explore and stop somewhere that just sounded good. We stumbled upon this adorable restaurant and just HAD to go in. We were greeted immediately by the owner and he was so kind. He sat us down and gave us his daily specials, which all sounded so good! We picked our food and his wife helped serve. This couple took AND cooked our order. The ingredients were so fresh and so delicious. We are definitely coming back because we just need to try more. The owners are so wonderful. We had some amazing conversations about pretty much everything! By the way, the cheesecake literally melts in your mouth...it was THAT amazing. Thank you so much for your amazing food and service.

   Nice little place . Was working away in the area and had a walk down , glad we did. Was very warm and friendly food was spot on .    Lovely genuine Italian restaurant owned and run by the same family for many years. We were there on a quiet Tuesday night which meant we had the chance to chat whilst being served, and not forgetting enjoying our host’s cooking as well! Well prepared and presented. Not overly fancy, just good ingredients done well. Highly recommend.
