Worst chinese I have been to, went in at 5pm ordered sweet and sour chicken . When i got home it was cold, sweet and sour sour was all thick and congield like it had been from night before. When complained got abuse. Save your money
Requested a mixed meat house curry. It had only chicken cubes. No beef, pork or prawns. Really disappointed
Used this takeaway for some time now and they can be a bit of hit n miss but tonight they surpassed themselves. It was awful. Chicken n Ham fried rice - dry and stale. Tasted like a re-heat. Not fresh. Not a lot of ham or chicken. Anaemic.. Chicken Chow Mein - stale and Anaemic. No flavour. Salt n Chilli chips - soggy. Chicken Balls in crispy batter - very greasy batter. Only edible part was the curry sauce and the prawn crackers. Won't be back.
Stale and greasy. Just what you want for £30 .Obviously won't be back. A pot noodle would have been better than that garbage.
Got kicked out for doing traditional hello, atmosphere amazing great design but service can suck me, my chicken was cold and raw

I can not comment on food as I never got that far!. I rang the shop to place an order, and I was informed "she" didn't understand me. I thought it might be easier if I just went to the shop to place my order in person. However, they got defensive. I was asked to point out my order on the menu, rather than speak. I found the attitude rude and humiliating; I've been living in the UK for nearly 14 years, and I am just about to start my PhD, and I was told to show what I wanted. No apologies and I was encouraged to leave the shop. If this is the customer service and then I have nothing to say.....
I've used this takeaway numerous times and they've always made my food really quickly. The staff are very friendly and always take time to chat to you whilst you're waiting. The food is great and portion sizes are spot on. The Golden Earl is a great wee takeaway.
