   Delighted to have found this place! We are not local to the area but found ourselves in the arcade for a wander on a Saturday lunchtime. My son noticed they sold fresh Pam ales and we decided to pop in and have lunch. Our first visit but I’m sure not our last. The food was plentiful, piping hot, delicious and entirely home cooked! It had that nostalgic “just like gran made” quality! The mushy peas are superb!! The service was equally as good or perhaps even better than the food!!

   I've been coming to this wee cafe since I was a baby with my mum and dad. Now I come along with my own babies over the years anytime I am in the arcade. Always the place to go with my family and friends. The staff make the place what it is, the food is brilliant always. The atmosphere is always great. Love their tea, coffee and cakes too. This place is like the heart of Rutherglen to me. A wee hidden gem. One place that still remains over all these years, and no wonder.

   Usually visit here for a quick lunch when in Rutherglen and today was no exception. I was with my aunt, and we went in feeling wet and miserable and came out feeling really cheered up. I don’t know how the staff remember so many customers, but the atmosphere is very friendly, the tables are spotless and the food is really enjoyable and excellent value. The number of regular customers certainly confirms this.

   This is a friendly wee cafe with wonderful staff, especially Carol. She's always very friendly, helpful and always has a smile and a blether for everyone. She's truly an asset to the cafe and theres alwaya a warm welcome from her. Lovely lady.

   My partner and I have visited this place countless times, and it has always been great food and service in the past - most of the waitresses and Liz are very welcoming. However this past few times there has been this waitress called Carol, who has been very friendly and smiley to people at the other tables. But when she came to us she had this angry, impatient voice and look, and she'd just slam our plates down then walk away. The first time we put it down to her having a bad day but it has happened twice more now and this time it has put us off the place for good. The food is always great here but when the service is this disappointing it ruins the whole experience. There are plenty of other local cafes that have better customer service. Do better Buon Appetito!

   Love going here, good simple home cooked food. The staff are always cheery, helpful and friendly. The portions are generous and good priced. Go here almost everytime we're in Rutherglen. Go, try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
