Ordered Chicken Balls, curry sauce and a portion of chips. All 3 were disappointing. A couple of the chicken balls we’re defo undercooked. The chips looked like they were from last week and fried a half dozen times and the curry sauce was like brown water.

Been eating from here on a weekly-fortnightly basis for a good few months now. Absolutely lovely staff both in-house and with deliveries. More than willing to make tweaks when we call up. Generous portions from day one, food almost always arrives piping hot - never cold. If you're after a standard Scottish-Chinese takeaway, give these guys a go. Seasoning is great. Food is freshly prepared, processed only where necessary, doesn't seem frozen is ever used. Chicken balls - perfect. Spring rolls - perfect. Ribs - perfect. Crispy chicken is great, but you can tell when the oil needs changing. That being said, it's never been overwhelming, and the textures and flavours more than make up for an-end-of-week inevitability. Their garlic and honey wings are amazing. Meat was close to falling off the bone, and the garlic was fresh. Gravy, BBQ sauce, and black bean sauce are to die for. Most of them are on the lighter side in taste (e.g. BBQ, satay). My personal taste is for stronger tastes, and the black bean sauce has been my favourite so far. Would still go down well with those that appreciate their flavours not too strong. Not tried thai or oyster yet. I even like their Peking sauce. I NEVER like Peking sauce. Their Szechuan sauce is good, too, even for those that don't do spice. The ribs always have plenty of meat, not fat. The salt + chilli munchy box has a delightful coating of sugar and MSG and I'm obsessed. Lots of chicken included. The chicken balls are actual CHICKEN balls, not glorified nuggets, and among the best I've had so far. Spring rolls are 100% the best I've had so far. Their udon noodles are AMAZING. Had them with black bean sauce, once veg only and once chicken. Both impeccable. The chicken was super soft and had taken the flavours super well. The veg option could have had more vegetables (frankly, all dishes need more veg, but that's not exclusive to here). With that being said - where other places will pad out their veggies with onions to an offensive degree, Canton makes sure to give you as much of the other stuff as possible. Green paprika hit the sweet spot between crunchy and soft really well for me, there were plenty of water chestnuts, and the mushrooms are

Online order through an intermediary for collection. Food order was incorrect, lukewarm and anything but the best. Yes, it's bad weather, but the world hasn't come to an end. Attempted calling restaurant at least a dozen times and no answer. Thanks! Could have saved money. Won't be ordering from here ever again.

Tasty, authentic food but beware misleading prices. When questioning why I was charged way more than what I saw when I looked up at the display board for dishes, I was told "old menu" and handed a new leaflet. I asked why the board hadn't been updated and they replied "Too high" (to reach the board!). On next visit, assuming a dish that used to be about £5 might be around £7 now, I was charged over £11 just by adding some prawn crackers. Trades Descriptions might be receiving a phone call.

Really poor. Spare ribs came with a disgusting sauce. Can't even describe it, it was that bad. Ribs were dry and probably reheated. Curry was bland and greasy. Even the prawn crackers were disgusting. Stay away from here. There are loads of better options on Hamilton.

our order was definitely re-heated from last night , the rice was just dry , all clumped together just terrible and the noodles were drowned in soya sauce, chips were rock hard, chicken was dry and felt reheated like everything else. used to come here a few years ago and was amazing and we were passing so thought we would try it again. but wouldn't recommend.

Love their food and their prices. Service could be better. Have a bad tendency to ignore you for ages if they are on the phone. Walked out after waiting more than once.
