It was a promising start, we had a couple of good meals since the change in ownership/name - it became our regular Chinese. I won’t post the photos as the owner PART refunded the order. The sauce was like jelly in the sweet & sour, onions raw and brick solid, the noodles arrived freezing, the chicken balls were soggy lying in grease, the chips both salt & pepper and normal were sweaty in their packaging and powdery. Overall, it was awful, we spent over £50 and they didn’t even throw in prawn crackers. I called to complain and the woman on the phone hung up on me so I had to go into the store and argue my case. I’d avoid this place at all costs, the inch down the road has a really good Chinese now which isn’t far, Dragon Kong I think it’s called.

We tried Gilmerton Wok when both of our usual takeaways were closed, and we've never gone back to either of them! The food at Gilmerton Wok is the best Chinese food that we've tasted in ages. I particularly love their Singapore fried rice - just enough of a kick without going over the top. The people behind the counter are always friendly and chatty, and even in busy periods, it doesn't take ages to get your food. We've never tried delivery, as they are so close to us, but there is a constant stream of delivery drivers, so it must be a very popular choice.

First time we ordered we were delighted as it was really tasty. Since then, food has been cold, it’s been the wrong dish sent via delivery and even got our orders mixed up, then came back for food and tried to deliver us the correct order that had been opened by the other person who’s order we got. Tonight’s order was freezing cold and the spare ribs were sparse with meat, more fatty and dry. Won’t be back!

Usually use good cooking all the time but this time the food was luke warm and the sweet and sour sauce was far to thick and my pineapple fritters were burnt waste of money !!!

The food was cold. Spent over £30 and food was awful. We use this Chinese a lot. If you phone for collection tonight, brilliant service. Tonight we ordered a delivery. Terrible. Do not order delivery

Used to be a great take away. Had over cooked and under cooked chips in the same tray. Most Chinese locally seem to have went the same way unfortunately.

Everyone should avoid this place. If you would see the kitchen where your food is prepared ,I'm pretty sure you would never order again. All the shop is disgusting. We had to wait outside for our food since they don't let you wait inside. And their kitchen door is just over there.. it was open and i could see how they prepare the food... The floor was black from the dirt, same with the walls. I really think someone should report this place, cause they definitely need to be closed down. Plus we didn't even try our food cause the person that took our order didn't understand me, and gave something we don't order.. anyway food was soaking in oil and didn't look tasty at all.
