THIS IS NO LONGER BIBIS - Nothing Mexican about what’s there now. Bibis is now gone and in place of it is a cheap restaurant serving up low quality generic food. Don’t be fooled by the exterior or the name, the restaurant has completely changed and under new management. • No longer serving any sort of authentic Mexican cuisine • Serving up generic food with poor imitation mc Donald’s style chips • Serving fried chicken for fajitas is a disgrace, kitchen should be ashamed. • Really unsure what cheese if any cheese was in those croquettes • The ‘salsa’ seemed to just be chopped/pureed tomatoes, if the kitchen is going to serve that straight from a can at least add some salt • Why serve the fajitas on a hot plate if they’re no longer cooked on it? Seemed to be pre-cooked fried chicken heated in the oven • Waited around 1 hour for mains • Take down the old website as it’s not correct If you want good Mexican food in Glasgow try Rafas for tacos or if you want to sit down, even try Topalabamba (which I never thought I’d say against Bibis as I previously gave the place 5 star but this is honestly such a poor imitation of what it once was)

We did the early dinner menu and shared jalapeño croquettes and quesadillas as starters and fizzling chicken fajitas and cajun battered baja fish tacos as mains. The fajitas came with 3 wraps, and they very nicely supplied us with an extra one to make it even to share! For free! The service generally was very lovely and attentive. The whole evening started with complimentary frozen lime margarita shots and nachos with salsa. The atmosphere was nice. However, we were at the table close to the kitchen and toilets and a bit pressed into the wall. It's a small space, and we were happy that we managed to get a reservation at all a couple of days before our dinner :-) The food is the reason it only got 4 stars. It was more than okay, but the battered fish in the tacos was not really crispy - a bit more on the soggy side. The quesadillas were a bit sparsely filled, for example. Nevertheless, we would come back and enjoyed a nice evening!

Always amazing. Recommend the spicy soup, BBQ pulled pork tostadas but the best thing is the cheesecake. It's the lightest best dessert ever. Service with a smile too.

Went with some fellow California expats in search of lively Mexican food. We chose this place based on the glowing reviews. All I can say is the bar is not very high. Service was good. Food was hit and miss. The Chicken Fajitas were decent. Ample portions. Nachos a wee stale. The Tacos a bit odd. Based on the humble decor and hit and miss offerings, the pricey bill was a bit hard to digest. Our quest for good Mex-Cal comfort food goes on.

I've wanted to come here for ages and finally was able to, we had a great night! A lovely wee small place with a great atmosphere, feels like you're on holiday somewhere. You get free margarita shots and nachos on arrival. I had a large burrito and it was unbelievable, I could only finish half but the pulled pork inside was especially good. My mum requested fajitas without spice (hence why they look so pale) but she said they were still amazing. But the best part is definitely the frozen margaritas, we sampled a few flavours and they were all lovely. Would definitely go back
