Tried their signature menu for 2 people. Really like that they mix the guacamole at the table. Our first time trying ceviche and it’s pretty good. The pastel de pollo is alright. The tacos are okay, tried the beef Burris one and the fish taco with caviar, both are a bit bland. Had the picanha which is the rump cap and picked chimichurri with it, the rump is cooked nicely. The Mexican corn on the cob is lovely. Overall the food is okay, good atmosphere and lovely presentation of the food.

Highly recommend! The staff were honestly lovely - happy to tell us anything and to stop to chat if they had a second about the food and drinks. Would really like to visit on a weekend after our lovely waitress recommended it due to the entertainment on! The food was OUTSTANDING! Big standouts were the beef croquettes, birria tacos and the steak - the chimichurri was delicious too. And don't skimp on the desserts! The warm pink colada felt like a hug to eat (The tonka bean custard was gorgeous, I wish I had a bit more of it) and the trio of desserts was a knockout for sure!

We attended the All-You-Can-Eat Brazilian BBQ which was really good. There are plenty of side dishes which they top up the through your visit if you need them. Chips, garlic bread, black bean stew & rice and dips among other things to get you going. But the meat comes round thick and fast and it’s all delightful…except the pork sausages. I wasn’t really a fan of those. Loved everything else though (Rump with Garlic and the Ribs being top of the list!) The service was fantastic (particularly from the dark haired girl with the nose-ring) but all staff were efficient and polite throughout. The place itself is really stylish and modern and has a touch of class about it. The toilets look great too for those of you interested in that sort of thing. There are cocktails aplenty! Would recommend for any sort of celebratory dinner or work do. The kids ate free on Sunday and whilst they were easily enough accommodated for there’s no set children’s menu so keep that in mind. Looking forward to a second visit soon!!

I went to El Santo with a friend and it was honestly the best dining experience I’ve had in Glasgow. Our waiter Wesley was amazing, so knowledgeable, warm, and attentive. The manager Sam and bartender Arthur also made us feel so well looked after. I tried ceviche for the first time (octopus, whitefish, and prawn in lime juice with red onion) and it was absolutely delicious, octopus is a must try! The habanero margarita, passionfruit margarita, and smooth tequilas were out of this world. The atmosphere is authentic, vibrant, and beautifully set. This is hands down the best Mexican restaurant in Glasgow, I’ll definitely be back!

Food was good, but very pricey and portions could have been bigger, 3 of our family ordered tacos for main, 1 ordered the chicken and 1 ordered the hake. Tacos came out and there was a very long wait before the other 2 mains. Not a family type restaurant, more a couples restaurant, although not what social media etc make it seem like.

Never been to Latin America but it seemed pretty authentic to me! They actually made the guacamole fresh at the table! Delicious food. Loved it. Highly recommended.

Came on a busy Friday night, expecting great things but was disappointed. The ordering process was painful - we were recommended the most expensive steak…after we’d asked for what we wanted. The music was so loud that we had to ask for some items several times. At one point, we were asked twice in 5 minutes if we wanted to order a drink, by the same person. We ordered quite a lot - but our guacamole clearly went to the table beside us, as it arrived before our tacos. We then had to ask for our guacamole, which added to the confusion. As our guac was then being made up at the table, our mains arrived, which caused a traffic jam. We could barely fit everything on the table. The food itself was tasty, but small - and therefore expensive. The guacamole was delicious but making it at the table seems like a faff. The pork belly was nice but can’t say it was worth the £18 I paid for it. The corn was ok, and the concept is done way better at Topolabamba. The bar was disorganised. We watched the servers bump into each other, and at one point, a dirty glass fell off the edge of the bar because so many glasses were there waiting for cleaning. Then, the server had to go and find someone to clean up the glass, shaking a cocktail as he went through the bar. As our drinks were being made, the server managed to explode a canister over my friend and guy beside him. The cocktails were decent but overworked, like each of them had one ingredient too many. The music - so loud. Not sure why a half empty restaurant requires a DJ at 9pm on a Friday night. A waste of time, money and atmosphere. My throat was so sore by the end of dinner, from trying to be heard. We left because it was uncomfortably loud. The decor is beautiful - some of the nicest I’ve seen. Toilets were unusual but beautiful and clean. The lighting is stunning. It came to £130 for guacamole, 2 tacos, 2 mains, a side and 4 drinks. Not cheap at all. In theory, this place should be killing it. In reality…meh. There’s a reason it was quiet on a Friday night.

Wow! Food and service was top notch. Definitely will be back! Have to say the cocktails and table side guacamole was out of this world! Thank you for an amazing time!

Stopped by El Santo one night after finishing work after seeing it had newly opened. When entering the venue I was greeted by the most charming and pleasant host who allowed me to sit at their stunning bar as I was only in for one drink and a quick bite to eat. The bartender was extremely knowledgable and spoke me through their cocktail list, and gave his recommendations based on what I said I liked. I decided to have their taco deal, both of which were absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend as both the food and staff were amazing. I've already booked to to return with my friends in the coming weeks for a proper dinner experience.
