Having previously earned my Day Skipper certification with Premier Sailing, I recently returned for their flotilla refresher. Once again, the experience exceeded expectations. Christian's expert advice and clear tuition instilled confidence and refreshed crucial skills. Beyond the excellent instruction, the food both onboard and during evening meals was a definite highlight, and the fact that everything was included in the course costs made it exceptional value for money.

We went for a two weekends Competent Crew course. Now, I spend all my free time watching sailing YouTube videos and getting ready for the Day Skipper, that's how much I enjoyed it. Nice boats, good experience, amazing people. Edit: and 5 months later we are happy owners of a Westerly Centaur!

I have found Premier sailing after a google search based on good reviews. And I must say that I was not disapointed I have chosen this school to do my Day Skipper practical course. Colin the owner was very helpful, and you can tell he is pasionate about sailing. The boats are in good condition and easy to sail. I was happy when we changed boat, as I did my course over two weekends. I had the chance to try something different, which is helpfull. Now, regardind my instructor, what can I say? I have no words really! Not only that I have learned a lot from Christian , but I also made a new friend. He was cooking for us great food, and everything he does, he does it so the students feel good. You can always tell when someone is doing something out of passion, or for the money, and in Christian's or Colin's case it is clear they love sailing and they are inspiring the people around them. I finished my Day skipper, and I plan to continue training with Premier Sailing, as I know now this is a school I can trust.

I've been on a few courses with Premier Sailing. Competent Crew, Day Skipper & VHF. Colin & the team are great, providing useful tips with excellent instruction, while making it fun and welcoming for everyone. Also, the food is great on the practical courses ; p Already looking forward to my next course!!

A terrific RYA Day Skipper course, professionally organised and run by Premier Sailing. Colin, Jan and the team made the organisation and preparation easy to manage and Christian, the instructor is superb. I would readily recommend and endorse the Premier Sailing team for tuition.

Just returned home from RYA Competent Crew course provided by Premier Sailing. What an absolutely brilliant 5 days! Instructor Christian Bloch was superb - an excellent instructor who knows how to nurture and get the best out of people without being condescending - and a great laugh too!! The course content is perfect for beginners and those like myself who may have grown up in a sailing environment but missed out on a structured course and RYA accreditation. In spite of a few days without wind, a couple of very cold early morning starts, none of us were put off or felt too 'stretched', and Christian ensured a high level of instruction each day without missing any valuable content. The location where the sailing vessel was based ensured a variety of sea states, sailing grounds, destination marinas/anchorage areas, tides, currents and depths to ensure a good preparation for many scenarios. Living on a boat is a great way to get to know people quickly, and I think we were all sad to come to the end of the course. I think Premier Sailing has set the standard by providing each student with their own cabin aboard the vessel giving a superb low student to instructor ratio. Premier Sailing did everything they said they would do on their website, plus the food they provide is good quality and plenty of it. We also experienced the backing that shore based staff provided when the need to resolve a couple of minor electrical issues before departure occurred - these were dealt with in good time and professionally. Will definitely book for the Day Skipper course - can't wait! Top tips: definitely ask for a set of oilskins to be provided if you don’t have your own yet, bring some decent thermal gloves in addition to your fingerless ones. DO IT, DO IT, DO IT!

I started sailing with Premier Sailing 10 years ago as a beginner, I gained my skipper licence with them and still sail regularly with them now. They are an excellent school with skilled and patient instructors, great boats, and importantly when teaching they keep the groups small whether it be on the boat or in the classroom, which gives a better experience and makes learning much easier. I would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic week with Premier Sailing getting our Coastal and Day Skipper qualifications. The team were fantastic and very flexible to our requirements. Their boats are very well maintained and are great training boats. The location is delightful with interesting places on the Crouch and easy access to the estuary and wider locations on the south east coast. As always the food provided was top notch and the ample supply of cake kept us going through some long beats. We would definitely recommend Colin, Jan and team for chartering, course or their adventure sailing.
