This place is amazing! We all went for the Hot Rocks steak, brilliant concept and super value with a drink and side included. Food was delicious, cocktails were delicious and the staff were all delightful. Very attentive and nothing too much bother. We will def be back and would highly recommend.

German beer hall without any German beer available, which was unfortunate...! Was also a bit dark/dingy. Staff were nice, Scotland rugby game on so decent atmosphere.

This is a lovely historic hotel that offers a bar, restaurant and cafe for breakfast. The staff at the hotel and restaurant were great. They were helpful and friendly. The steaks at the restaurant were really good and cooking it yourself was a surprisingly fun activity. Breakfast in the morning was very good. The location is perfect for exploring town and is a short walk to shops, restaurants, the abbey and park. We overall had a great stay.

Save your money and go to greggs. Slow service for massively over priced, mediocre food. Good to see the chef vaping behind the grill too. Bill also included a charity payment without asking if we wanted it or not. So bad. Avoid.

Dropped of relatives here as they are staying in the hotel whilst in town. We were allowed to leave their luggage as it was too soon to check in but we decided to have some lunch in the hotel restaurant. Food was fantastic, plenty and reasonably inexpensive. A lunch for 5 plus drinks was £60. Great service, fresh food, cheerful staff. Would highly recommend a visit.

Booked this hotel for a weekend away with the husband. Booking in was easy, room was nice. We ate dinner the first night and it was beautiful, food was hot when it arrived. The breakfast was also beautiful and plentiful and you get unlimited tea and coffee. The staff from begining to the end of our stay were amazing, very helpful and the couldn't do enough for you. I would highly recommend a stay here. My only gripe is I didn't book for longer.

1703 was very quiet when we visited but staff were cordial considering we arrived mid afternoon. Unfortunately they sat us at a table right next to a door which had a very cold breeze blowing through it when staff went through. We were surrounded by empty tables and booths. Food was average but that could of been because we were between services. As it was quiet, it still took a wee while for food to arrive at table. Our server was chatty though and drinks were served quickly. Possibly, as it was very quiet, we might of had a different experience if it had been busier.
