“These guys are my go to comfort food place. Everything ive tried from this place has blown me away every time. For your first time, get the Pork Gyros Merides box, the meat is amazing, it isnt some cheap doner meat. The Tzatziki is great, the veg is fresh, the pitta is moreish and the fries are crispy. Normally I find takeaway places that start out great with food made with love tend to fall off after a few months. Not these guys, this food is made with love every single time. Oh also, their pork souvlaki is so tender and beautifully spiced.”

“We had a fun outing here playing snooker, especially since the snooker rooms are private and quiet. We loved the atmosphere in the other parts of the bar, though a little loud, it was clearly well maintained and was very inviting, we'll certainly be back for more games.”

“Dropped of relatives here as they are staying in the hotel whilst in town. We were allowed to leave their luggage as it was too soon to check in but we decided to have some lunch in the hotel restaurant. Food was fantastic, plenty and reasonably inexpensive. A lunch for 5 plus drinks was £60. Great service, fresh food, cheerful staff. Would highly recommend a visit.”

“Biggest Co-op I've ever been in, looks very modern and fancy. The staff are really nice and there is a wide selection of things to buy. Wouldn't recommend going a full shopping here as it can be quite expensive. They offer a 10% discount if you have a young Scot card, And 5% cashback if you get a members card.”

“Friendly and helpful staff. The cinema was clean and comfy with plenty of loos. Food and drinks service could be better organised as it was a little slow. Some staff seemed busy while others less so. Provision of some form of tray would have been helpful too. Overall good value for money.”

“A truly amazing experience. Every bite is a medley of flavours, and the service is attentive and informative. Every dish had a backstory that conjured pictures of their places of origin. The chef even came out to deliver one of the courses, clearly delighted in seeing customers' reactions to his inventive creations. We had the taster menu, and there was plenty of variety for both of us. (The staff was more than happy to make vegan substitutions for my wife.) Can't think of a single complaint; already looking forward to our next visit!”

“Stupendous. I have not been to a better cafe, have not had a better breakfast in Scotland than here. Coffee was on spot: Not scolding hot, perfect blend, amazing latte art. Got a second coffee, they made a freaking swan!!! I didn’t make a picture cause my sister sipped it before I made a picture (thanks for that haha), but guys, honestly, what a place! My friends had some other items, and portions are incredibly reasonable. Will be back for sure!”

“This place is an absolute gem! I recently booked a couple of nights at Garvock house very last minute whilst driving to the west of Scotland to visit family. Decided to break up the journey and so glad that I chose here! The hotel grounds and garden are beautiful and such a lovely, peaceful area to relax in. The room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped, and the staff were all excellent. I completely fell in love with this place and already looking to rebook for a few more days later in the year :)”

“December 2024: I visited here with a party of six for an evening meal. First impressions of the restaurant from outside wasn't anything special; however, when inside, the venue really shines. Lovely restaurant with plenty of seating and a great atmosphere. There was a real buzz about the place from both staff and other customers. Tables are well spaced out and it was lovely and welcoming. Service was great - not too quick, not too slow. Staff friendly, attentive and very polite. Food was super tasty. Highly recommend the Penne Carnegie. Banoffee ice cream sundae is also worth having if you have any room left! Dishes are reasonably priced, roughly worked out at £25 pp for 2 courses and soft drinks. Overall, highly recommend a visit here if in the area and we will likely be back.”

“Popped into the East Port pub in Dunfermline and found some great cask ale which is sadly lacking in Scotland. Had some Shining Knight from Loch Leven brewery which was crystal clear and a great drop as they say. Mitch and Gina, happy to let us sample before buying. Great job, just had the two, honest guv.”

We thoroughly enjoyed our delicious food and were happy that we decided to try something a bit different in Dunfermline. The service was really good....waiting staff were attentive and friendly. “We stopped here for some lunch, it was busy, but we got a table very quickly, there is outdoor seating, the seating arrangement inside weren't squeezed together so u didn't feel cramped, plenty of space to move your chair back to leave the table you don't hit other people The restaurant is traditionally decorated inside, it evokes a feeling of comfort and cosyness inside, helped by friendly welcoming staff, our food was delicious, hot and fresh, and arrived on our table in around 10 minutes despite it being very busy, the portion sizes were generous, we ordered steak pie and fish and chips, both dishes were really tasty We can highly recommend a visit to this restaurant Plus the added bonus of it being pet friendly, they have a bowl of water and some dog treats, which, as a dog owner, its those small gestures that we appreciated as our dog is an important family member and in this restaurant they welcome pets as a customer as well”

“The bar and kitchen is an amazing setup and the design and layout complements the dining experience with great food and the presentation make the mouth water at the detail that has gone into making you experience world class food from an amazing chef. To have the owner take time to explain how he produces great food and the chocolate on offer made my day. I would highly recommend a visit and enjoy the dining experience.”

“The place was so beautiful, I went up stairs which was a great old space! Had a black pudding Hot Filled roll! The ladies who were behind the counter were so welcoming and the food was made in house the rolls and flat white were both so good (the roll was amazing so fresh and fluffy) and did I mention it is cheap too!?!?! Cause as a broke backpacker this was the only thing I could afford and it was worth every penny!!! Best little spot in town!!!”

“This place is set in a gorgeous little garden and quite hidden out the way. The food was amazing and the place very busy so bear that in mind for a last minute drop in. The gardens are also dog friendly with the staff being very attentive to both you and your dogs needs. The chocolate brownies and “The Usual Suspect” (bacon roll) are highly recommended.”
