   I spent £30 on food that was completely inedible. Everything tasted off — like it had been cooked in burnt or old oil — and the rice was mushy and overcooked. Nothing was fresh or enjoyable. I phoned to explain the issue and was polite, but the woman I spoke to was rude and dismissive. She didn’t care at all and refused to take any responsibility or offer any solution or try to apologise. Absolutely shocking attitude. Now I understand why they’re CASH ONLY — no accountability. Once they’ve got your money, that’s it. There are so many better Chinese takeaways around. Do yourself a favour and avoid this one

   Staff are nice, but they won't alter ingredients, they'll deduct one and charge you for the other. It's a terrible practice. I literally live within walking distance but tend to avoid this place. There's only a few items on the menu I like and their unwillingness to substitute items for cheaper ingredients irks me enough that I'm willing to walk/drive the extra 5 minutes for food that's just as good at half the price. Avoid, unless you enjoy spending lots of money on mediocre food.

   Our local takeaway was closed and decided to use Evelyn's for takeout, I will definitely use Evelyn's again as the meal was brilliant! Salt and chilli chips were great and crispy, curry sauce extra hot was amazing as well. I didn't have to wait long on delivery too.

   Evelyn's is a solid choice for takeout. It's close to where I live and the prices are fair. The portions are big and the takeout service is fast. I really love their salt and chili dishes, especially the king prawns, and they have some good options for vegetarians too. Evelyn's never disappoints!

   Not been here for years and when seen a review on my Facebook Group Hamilton News Stand, I thought I would give the place a try. Food was not as good as other local places and a big thing that they missed was that they never even gave me a small bag of prawn crackers, even though I spent over £50. I also had to pay for the rice as it was not included in the meals. My family usually pay around £30 - £50 when ordering a takeaway and my usual places always give me some freebies as a way of saying thanks for being such a good customer. No gratitude from them and last time that I will use this place.

   Mediocre is generous. Ordered via telephone for pick up, was told 30 mins, ended up being 50 mins from order to pick up. Clearly their just eat deliveries take priority Chicken wasn’t great, Singapore noodles were ok, fried rice was greasy. Chips had clearly been refried multiple times. Exceptionally disappointing as this family used to run some really good restaurants

   Just had THE WORST spare ribs I’ve ever had from this takeaway. Dry, gristly nasty ribs, texture of jerky ,with barely any edible meat served in a warm yet congealed sauce. They are in the bin - sadly they were my meal after a hard shift. The takeaway was not very sorry I had wasted £7 ( expensive for a starter? )on something I could not eat at all. So a cup of tea then I will spent 10 minutes making sure no one on my contact lists uses this takeaway . The ribs were so dried out- I’d be fearful of how you actually make something like that. I love ❤️ Chinese and generally not fussy- so bad result.

   Ordered food for the family tonight on the Just Eat app. Food arrived 1.5hrs late and was freezing cold. Curry sauce was solid !!! Called restaurant not interested. Will not be back. Plenty other good Chinese restaurants to choose from. My advice give this place a miss.
