   I usually go here for Chinese food, got my usual order and when I opened the rice it instantly smelled really sour. I phoned and explained that I'd binned our meals, they said they would remake them and I said I only wanted my wife's meal remade. When I went to collect it they wanted the old food bought back which I had already said I'd binned. Even though they were sitting with the remade food ready to give me they just kept asking which rice was affected. I sa8d that id thrown both meals away but i didnt want my wife to go without. They didnt give me the food just kept asking what was wrong with the other meal (that i could have but didnt ask to be replaced) I just left but really rice is not something to mess around with, it should be fresh on the day. That's 20 quid down the drain that I don't have to spare. Thankyou royal cottage. My first day off in 5, 12 hour shifts I really needed some food.

   Service very friendly. Got a chicken satay skewers. Unlike most places the sauce did not come separate. The satay was different to most places but I must admit it was very tasty. Portion not the biggest and could do with more veg. Pancake rolls not to my taste. Will be back to have the satay again.

   Waited nearly 2 hours for meal. Arrived with a meal missing. Further 50 minutes called back and was told meal should have been delivered. 20 minutes later all meals now frozen so called to cancel the meal that was still to be delivered as the family member was now going home. Driver arrived as we were leaving and he was very rude when he arrivals with the meal and then I attended the shop to complain and was advised manager not in and I should call back another night. Called back to be advised that it was miss communication by the new worker on the desk I don’t believe that for a second) Then when I said it was the delivery drivers attitude again he blamed the new girl. I advised him the whole night was ruined and I wanted my money back as this was ordered and paid online. I was advised this was two nights ago and would need the food back. If he had wanted this he should have called me on the night of the next day as he was aware of the issue and should have made contact but he waited for me to make contact. I told him to keep the money and I will never be back again as I had been very reasonable but at no point did the delivery driver or the manager see it as being their problem . Disgusted customer who has a been a regular for 14 years , pick ups , phkne orders and online orders . Never again, loyalty obviously means nothing

   My friend ordered a sweet and sour chicken with rice and sauce , the price was supposed to be £10.30 , she was charged £11.30 , we phoned up the shop and was told it was supposed to be £10.30 , I think there should be a receipt attached to the order , I think it’s terrible overcharging people is a disgrace I don’t think we will be back

   Placed my order an hour prior to pick up , still had to wai 15 mins for order to be processed and when i got home ( 2 mins later )the salt n chilli chips were at best, at room temperature, very disapointing. Normally i would be happy with the Royal Cottage but not this time 2/10

   Totally bland tasteless not abit spicy atall ,never a curry , only thing i will say is it was fresh but i wouldnt order again

   Just had a meal delivered was terrible only decent part of meal was breast chicken fried rice. Salt and chilli chips were cold and soggy far too much onions through them they looked as if they were boiled and not fried same with rest of veg. Salt and chilli chicken wings were also rotten very fusty tasting they certainly were not salt and chilli. Sliced beef and mushroom chewy and sauce too sweet. I ordered this because I'm not very well and was unable to cook today .but never again . I did phone and complain but all I got was ok as an answer . NEVER AGAIN
