    A humbly fantastic meal. We had the place to ourselves when we sat down at 6pm on a Wednesday until others joined us throughout the night. The bread station was a lovely touch with us walking up to choose our home baked breads. Most of the produce is grown by themselves and as a result you feel more appreciative of what you’re eating. An incredibly professional yet homely experience. The only negative is they don’t take Amex.

    The Pony catered our wedding and were sensational! The food was incredible and the service was outstanding. Holly, Emma & Josh went over and beyond and really made our day. Our guests have not stopped complementing the food, and many said it is the best wedding food they have ever had...and we couldn't agree more!     We had an absolutely fabulous meal here last night. Worthy of a Michelin star. We were worried it would be busy but managed to go on the spur of the moment. The Cornish mackerel starter and mussels and clams starter were both superb. The Pony garden salad was absolutely beautiful and strangely may have been one of the best dishes, and the massive 37oz sharing steak was perfectly done (rare) as requested. The Santa Teresa Sicilian red went with it all perfectly on a warm summer night.

    Excellent atmosphere Mediocre service - the front of house was nice but the staff serving food does not feel warm Food was not bad, but is this the best Sunday lunch I have had? Probably not. Still, tasty enough.

    2023 As others have said it's now The Pony. The place is a bit weird, a tent with underfloor heating and a great view but somehow the whole space has no soul. Staff were very pleasant and helpful but a bit uninterested. Pork terrine pleasant enough but not outstanding. Rump cap beautifully cooked with excellent sauce. Cheese was OK - perhaps a tad tired, but thankfully at the correct temperature. Margaret liked her mussels and her leeks but wasn't singing their praises. Wine OK but like everything ******* expensive, in fact ridiculously so. £150 for 3 starters, 1 main, 1 dessert and cheese with a bottle of wine, some water and elderflower really is taking the Michael when there are so many other places in the Bath / Bristol area that are as good or better for less £££. ************************************ Good food, bit poncey and pricey

    Super delicious 3 course roast today. Really enjoyed every mouthful, particularly the beetroot and goats cheese starter and the sticky toffee pud. Loved the panoramic views out the back & looking forward to coming back in summer to eat in the garden. Lovely treat :)

    Extremely disappointing dinner. We booked dinner with great enthusiasm and expectations based on its reputation. The “snacks” of salami with a few gherkins was below average and with no imagination. The beetroot salad was lacking of possibly a walnut element; and the lemon sole was so over cooked that was unpleasant if you had full dentition; Finally the choux had the consistency of bread… Overall, it was very much overpriced and nothing exquisite.

    Truly excellent, I have been to the Pony and Trap multiple times for lunch/dinner and it is consistently excellent with great food (both for meat eaters and veggies). The staff are always equally pleasant, capable and attentive, all in a cosy atmosphere. What more does anyone want? Well done !

    Fantastic food, cosy atmosphere and good music! We went for the first time for what was a “one-off” menu celebrating European produce; considering the chefs were likely cooking with new ingredients it was really delicious and some of the best food we’ve had in the Bristol area. Not unreasonably priced and I look forward to going back to try a different menu.
