A nice and cozy place for dinner. I ordered pasta with shrimp, and it was rich, creamy, and well-balanced in taste. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Takeaway: the only reason this wasn't a 1 star review is because the food taste was brilliant. That's where the good news stops. We notified the restaurant about a nut and peanut allergy and we specifically ordered dishes to accommodate this. When the food arrived, we were missing dishes and we had a dish delivered that we didn't order that was a potential risk for the nut and peanut allergy sufferer. The food itself wasn't hot (delivered warm) and was almost an hour and a half late. When I called to ask about where the delivery was, the response was to simply blame Just Eat rather than offer a resolution. Would not recommend for a takeaway.
We had a beautiful meal here, and enjoyed the new-to-us flavours of the Sri Lankan street food. Excellent cocotails - good beer - superb hoppers - all the dishes were taste-bud popping and wonderfully balanced. Oh and friendly, super quick staff and busy, fun atmosphere.
The staff was really helpful nice. Very busy good vibes we came on Saturday and they was rushed off their feet. So book table in advance Like really hot spicy, this is the place to go . Food was nice but too spicy for us. Brought tears to the eyes I was told it depends on day how spicy the food will be, so you do get home recipes the real authentic recipes that have been in families . I ordered goat curry as thought be medium. Nope, sadly, I couldn't eat it .I hate to know how hot the other dish will be with warning. Another was that the dishes didn't come out together, so that kind ruined it too. Cocktails was a winner had a lovely nice effect with the fire .. And was delish . I won't come here again due to the fact that it was too spicy. This depends on your taste buds and how hot you like it
I love the food here! Their promotion is still going - they’ve got 50% off the food menu Mondays-Wednesdays till January. (UPDATED: 'til next year!!) I particularly enjoyed their curries, the veggie kotthu and the spicy cuttlefish! Lots of vegetarian/vegan options and great cocktails also. Highly recommended!! I discovered this restaurant while I was in Cardiff and was very happy to find out that there are two Bristol branches!
The food was all incredibly tasty, full of flavour and diversity and the drinks were grand too! However the service was rushed, abrupt, generally rude and without being told our table had a time limit on it! There were 4 of us and ordered a lot of food and drinks and whilst still eating were practically rushed out the door with the bill slammed down. This made an otherwise pleasant time incredibly unpleasant and made us unlikely to return, really ruined it for us. So be mindful if you’re going with a big party.
