I have ordered with my partner 4 dishes: congee, beef tribes in ginger sauce, fish belly with tofu and salt & spicy baby squids. All dishes arrived at the same time after around 10 min of waiting and everything was still hot. Beef tribes felt very fresh however the sauce was totally missing any flavour. My partner had previously fish belly with tofu but this time she said it was dissapointing luck of flavour. We should get "baby squids" but it was just normal size squid cut to smaller pieces (or we had a giant baby squids - in general I never seen that huge baby squid in my entire life). That was the only dish which had some flavour and was pretty good. Congee was a typical congee - can't complain. Everything was very bland, lack of flavour and wasn't even close to the other Cantoneese or mainland China restaurants which we you can find in Bristol. I could give it 3/5 but the staff (old lady with short hair and big glasses) was very rude to us. No welcoming, no hello, no how are you and no check if everything is alright with our table. The table next to us asked for take away box and she was very friendly to them and helped to get the food for them. Meanwhile when we asked her for the take away box, she dissapreaed for a couple minutes. When she came back, she put a box on our table without a word and went back to the previous table where she started friendly chat with them. When I asked the other staff (young man, very friendly - totally opposite to the older lady!) to remove service fee (10% added automatically to the bill), I needed to explain myself why I wanted to do that.

A very nice Chinese cuisine restaurant. Top quality meals for some good choices for vegan and others. Good town center location, just across from Primark store. Large restaurant good for family and other gatherings and some quick service.

Chewing pork chops and the beef brisket are like chewing bubble gum. After eat the fried squid, sore throat for a week. But the waiter(Gary) who served us was really friendly, and we hung out afterward.

Food overall is bad and portions are tiny. Picture 1 and 2: Roast duck came cold and some pieces were raw. Server offered to microwave the duck, which is laughable. We were compensated with a duck leg, which was not even cut up into pieces. Picture 3: Mayflower signature rice, it was just unappetising. White rice covered in a boring sauce. Picture 4: Black pepper beef, £20. Contained 8 slices, so that is £2.50 per slice. Taste was okay. This restaurant used to serve up much better food, it has gone downhill since they moved to the new location. Very disappointed with the quality and quantity of food, I do not recommend it to anyone. £20 per person, none of us walked out full.

The first receptionist informed me that I had one hour to dine since I didn’t have a reservation. I was seated at a large table. I ordered two dishes: crispy noodle with beef and a quarter Peking duck. The prices were quite reasonable, especially considering it’s in the UK. The food arrived quickly and was served hot, which I appreciated. They offered free hot jasmine tea and chilled water, which I really liked. Later, another staff member came by and told me there was no need to rush, which made me feel much more relaxed, especially since I had been eating in quite a hurry.

Totally amazing dishes. Fried rice, tofu salt and chilli chicken were the best I had in UK. It's a bit expensive buy worth it. Long waits 35 to 55 minutes. Average of 45min

We visited for dinner on a Friday evening and really enjoyed our visit. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and our food was delicious. We ordered a few different dishes including the crispy beef and chicken in black bean sauce and they were the best we'd ever tried. Pricing was very reasonable as well - we'll definitely be back!

Great Chinese food at a very reasonable price. All dishes taste nice and authentic. Food was quick and service isn’t bad. Ended up paying £16 per person which is very good for what we ate. Can be quite busy so reservation is recommended but not necessary on the day we went.

A Bristol gem! Whether you want the usual favourites or the more authentic dishes, the quality of the food is exceptionally high. We always discover something new on recommendation from the waiter. Large portions, ideal for sharing. A casual restaurant in a hidden away location. Great atmosphere and always a treat to visit and certainly one of our favourite restaurants in Bristol. Current favourites base on recent visit are the Salt and Chilli Soft Shell Crab, Twice Cooked Pork, Three Roasties. Choy Sum with garlic and Pei Par (prawn stuffed) tofu but also many many more!

A place with a 'real Cantonese kitchen' vibe. We had a selection of dishes, some of which were delicious and some that absolutely weren't for us - but there's always a risk if you're trying something new. Service was relatively quick. The place could do with slight improvement of the drinks menu, interior design and cleanliness of the bathrooms.
