We were the only table at the restaurant when we arrived, lovely quiet experience, however, a walked in customer was seated right next to us when the restaurant was empty. Food was great apart from a little overcooked prawn starter.
Pros Best place Near to clifton Delicious indian food Limited menu Best ambience - but we asked for sofa and we did not get it as they told all are booked, and most of them are empty and waiting to be filled with prior reservations . Cons Prior reservation recommended Little overpriced- but as location and ambience is sensible

We went as a group and ordered a variety of dishes to try as much as we could — and we loved every bit of it! This place truly stood out with its unique vibe. The food was beautifully presented, not only looking amazing but tasting just as good. Every dish was full of flavour and clearly made with care. It also has a bar, which adds to the overall experience. I’d definitely recommend this place and will be visiting again!
Absolutely first rate on every level. Food was incredible. Service is friendly, prompt and efficient. Great local beers on tap. Warm, buzzy atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Service was pretty good, our guy was super friendly and chatty. The restaurant has a nice vibe and pretty much was fully booked, food arrived in timely manner. In my opinion the food was just ok to me, it tasted just fine but nothing special compared to other Indian spots in Bristol, it had a bit of an extravagant menu and was nicely presented, but execution wasn't really to my taste, missing out on some classics. They don't have regular soft drinks either, the karma Cola Coke alternative tasted like a melted down Cola icepop. A bit expensive by the end of it for what it was and there was a 10% service charge too. Overall a nice dining experience but I don't know if I'd recommend it.
We had a fantastic evening at Nutmeg in Clifton. It's a busy restaurant that mamges to fit seating over two floors and a covered outdoor space. The food was first-rate, Nutmeg has an imaginative menu with a few less usual options, and it's all cooked perfectly and presented well. The Bhaji's to start and Biryani for main were excellent as was the Sweet Potato vegetarian dish. Plenty of friendly staff so service matches the quality of food.
Nutmeg kindly seated us for a last minute booking on a Saturday night. Glad we called them, great meal and a good atmosphere. I highly recommend the paneer starter and I was very happy to find gulab jamuns on the menu too. There are a number of dietary options. I would happily return.
Really top class Indian cooking, anyone will find something to pique their food tastes here. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Great touches with homemade poppadom dips and fabulous bread. Guinea foul tandoori starter was superb.
