Booked a table for 7:30 as our first meal out with neighbours to get to know them. We arrived at 7:25 to be told they dont have a table for us. I saw the booking name on their list and they told us we could potentially wait an hour for a table... We asked what the point of booking a table was and they shrugged and were almost giddy because their restaurant was busy. Another couple were waiting as they had the same thing happen to them. They had driven in from Bristol and were also disappointed. We decided to leave and go to a different restaurant and had a lovely dinner in the end in a much nicer atmosphere we eneded up running into the same couple that had been turned away too which was nice. AVOID.

My son took my wife and I for a meal as an extended 80th birthday celebration, together with my daughter-in-law and granddaughter. The food was delicious. The service was exemplary. The atmosphere in a nearly full restaurant was superb. So, what's not to like? We will be back soon, despite living 12 miles away.

Food was really good but took over an hour to be served as it seemed like takeaway orders were prioritised over eat in customers. Call me a traditionalist but I also like the food warmers that other restaurants use to keep food warm at the table, while the food was warm when it came out it soon got cold as the ambient temperature of the restaurant was low and I’m not someone that usually complains about being cold. But will add again the food was excellent I had a lamb balti and it had lots of large very tender chunks of lamb so next time may opt for a takeaway over eating in.

I recently dined at Spicy Aroma, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. The moment I entered the restaurant, I was struck by the luxurious and welcoming ambiance that surrounded me. The environment was so pleasant that I immediately felt at ease, and the staff's warm and hospitable nature only added to the overall experience. Speaking of the staff, it was evident that they were incredibly well-trained and knowledgeable about the menu, as they provided us with excellent service throughout our meal. I was also delighted to find that there was free parking available within the restaurant area, which made my visit all the more convenient. When it came to the food, my kids and I were blown away by the delicious flavors and aromas that we experienced. The Chicken Tikka was an absolute hit with the little ones, while I personally fell in love with the Fish Tikka, which I tried for the first time. We also tried the Bhindi Bhaji and Tarka Dal, both of which were cooked to perfection and complemented by the soft, plain Naan. Although the food portions were slightly smaller compared to other restaurants, I must say that the quality of the dishes more than made up for it. I would highly recommend making a reservation in advance, as the restaurant was quite busy when we visited. Overall, I would definitely recommend a visit to Spicy Aroma to anyone looking for a luxurious dining experience with delicious food and excellent service.

The food was very good, but we had to wait over an hour for it. We ordered the takeaway and were told it would be ready to collect in half an hour, however I think they didn't start cooking it until we arrived to pick it up at the time it was supposed to be ready, as we then had to wait a further 35 minutes!

Great food, good atmosphere in the restaurant and friendly staff. Food was hotter/spicier than others but still excellent.

A nice surprise find in Portishead. The takeaway we've had tonight was really nice, full of flavour and spices. They ran out of the lamb chops tonight, but we replaced it with the Tandoori Tiger Prawns, they were big and meaty prawns, and the chargrilled taste on most of the dishes really brings out the flavour. The only slight complaint is a bit too much ghee, reduce that and they would have the perfect food. This is a place we would definitely order again next time we are in Portishead.
