There is no alcohol but you can bring your own. The staff were nice enough, although it felt a little rushed. The Bombay Aloo was good as was the tandoori. There was not a huge amount of Lamb I. The dishes. The Naan was better than the paratha. Poppadoms, 3 mains, 1 side & drinks and it was £91.

We had an amazing meal at Rasoi. We booked a table but was greeted at the door and offered any table we wanted. Staff were friendly and had a great sense of humour. The menu has a great deal of choice and they even offered to tweak the meals to our personal taste. Obviously knew what they were talking about when recommending from the menu and the chefs special was amazing. Couldn't fault the food, service, atmosphere or staff one bit. We will definitely be back.

We visited Rasoi in Somerset for a vegetarian meal and were impressed by both the variety and quality. Highlights: • The vegetarian platter was generous and well-balanced, with each item cooked fresh and full of flavor. • Paneer dishes stood out – soft, well-marinated, and served in rich, spiced gravies. • Dal tadka had a homely taste, comforting and not overly oily. • Freshly made naan and rotis were soft, warm, and served promptly. • The staff were attentive, quick to recommend vegetarian options, and ensured our dietary preferences were respected. • Ambience was relaxed yet refined, suitable for both casual dining and special occasions. Jack fruit biryani was star Small note: A few dishes were slightly on the sweeter side, so if you prefer spicier food, mention. Overall, a great place in Somerset for authentic Indian cuisine. Would return.

I love this place. The food is always top notch. The service is great. The Chicken Naga, or replace chicken with King Prawns..... Is a 100% top top dish. It's Bring your own Alcohol, which keeps the bill down! I would highly recommended trying Rasoi. Thanks guys!!

After our visit to the cheddar gorge we stumbled across this Indian restaurant so decided to have some dinner. Having after climbing the steep stairs we enter a really beautifully decorated restaurant so my expectations were high. Staff seemed tired but took us to our table. We were sat by the window with wonderful views. The restaurant had 3 other dining parties. Our table cloth had a stain on it. We ordered the mixed grill, lamb jalfrezi, chicken tikka biryani and 2 cokes. The cokes arrived and were rather flat; definitely did not quench my thirst, definitely end of the bottle of maybe a different version of cola. Food didn't take too long to arrive and the mixed grill smelled amazing and the presentation was well thought through. Taking a first bite of the lamb kofte: dry. The chicken tikka had a nice flavour but also rather dry. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection medium but was actually a little chewy. The onions were probably the best part of the mixed grill.. with a nice charred taste. Moving onto the chicken tikka biryani; lacked flavour; wheres the spices? Now onto the lamb jalfrezi, the lamb was cooked well and quite tender but being a spicy hot dish there wasn't hot for me, rather mild. So maybe this was just me personally and maybe the local taste is different. Prices were reasonable but I did find the taste rather bland, I couldn't taste the spices that you'd usually find in Indian cuisines. Never the less I ate all my food and was full and the other diners looked like they were all having a great time.

We really enjoyed our meal at the Rasoi. The decor was beautiful and we had a table in the window overlooking the town. The service was great, the waiters were very friendly and offered us popadoms to start which were fresh and delicious. They only offer non-alcoholic drinks but you can take your own alcohol or buy from the bar downstairs which was quite convenient. They brought the mains out on a trolley which was a nice touch, as well as the linen napkins, it was all very grand which we enjoyed the 5 star service. The food was absolutely delicious, we chose the special madras biryani which was exquisite, and a variety of other dishes including one of the chicken specials plus some vegetable dishes. The peshwari naan was so light and fluffy too. We were too full for dessert but there was a great selection on the menu, however they did give us some lovely orange chocolates with our bill, and offered us more when they saw we liked them! Thank you to the staff for the beautiful food and for making us feel so welcome.
