I've used Whitton Corner Pharmacy for years now. As a small community pharmacy, it's not easy to respond to everybody's wish for instant service or to have every possible item in stock at all times. Having worked in a pharmacy myself many years ago, I know how busy things can get, particularly during colds and flu season, and how difficult it can sometimes be when manufacturers delay production on certain drugs. I've always been treated respectfully and when purchasing non-prescription items, found their prices to be better than the high street alternatives.
This chemist is handy if you’re local my wife and I use Whitton Corner Pharmacy for more than four years, initially excellent small chemist friendly and helpful efficient. This seems to have changed recently now never received a phone text when your prescription is ready, this used to save customers and staff time. you may have to queue to find out if they have it or ring for hour and still not get through. Often they are not able to source medicine have to go somewhere else. Also it’s nothing to have to wait half an hour to be seen. Although there may be four people working and one person serving understood this had to be the way during Covid and they were fantastic. Staff are not particularly friendly if you make a slight criticism, like prioritising people how turn up at the counter, have more than one person serving if needed. If you need anything urgent you might be disappointed. There was only one person ahead of me and they had been waiting 30 minutes? and had ordered the medicine three weeks earlier and still did not get all there medicine required and this was for a cancer patient. I was told that a certain ointment could no longer be sourced but in fact I took my prescription down the road and purchased it in a a few minutes. This Pharmacy no longer generates confidence in its sourcing or customer service. Most things can be improved.
Really disappointed & annoyed. Booked a flu jab with the pharmacy two months ago. Arranged a babysitter, took the afternoon off work and took ages to find a parking space only to be told ‘there is a mistake there is no one to do it today’ this was at 5pm in the afternoon. Why did no one call me? I left my number. A waste of time. There are poster all over the pharmacy saying “book your flu jab today”. I did, you failed to call me or deliver.
I've been using this pharmacy for a couple of years I've always found it to be very good. The staff are always polite and helpful. Only one criticism would be be it only opens for a couple of hours on Saturday but not worth marking down for that.
I moved to Whitton Corner pharmacy in mid- 2019, thus far the experience have been excellent. I wish have had done it sooner. The Pharmacist and staff are very helpful, regular prescription are always ready for pick up when I need them. Their advise to get a yearly PPC made saving too. A gem in Whitton - would recommend highly.
I used Whitton Corner Pharmacy from just after they first opened until I moved house this year. The staff are friendly and helpful. There were only one or two occasions when there were problems with my repeat prescription but it was resolved quickly and with little inconvenience to me. They answer the phone promptly. Also a good place to get the flu vaccination; no appointment needed and I can't remember ever having to wait more than a few minutes.
Messed me about multiple times with prescriptions. I phoned them for a repeat prescription from the doctors and was told it would take a few days. After a week and a half of me repeated calling to check if it was ready, I went to the shop and they said they had no record of it. I had spoken to someone on the phone to arrange it and and was told it was being sorted. My medication ran out and I had to go to the doctors for an emergency prescription.
