   Gillian was amazing. I wanted a suit but couldn't match the jacket and trouser sizes. She saw me, came over and offered to help. Went into the back shop and came out with my exact size. Customer service like that is rare these days. Promote her to manager!

   I was able to find the black suits easily enough. They didn't have my size, but Lewis took the time to check what was available and bring them down from the stock room. He was on hand to assist and even tried to order more sizes from other stores. Could not fault the effort and assistance provided in a busy shop.

   Very helpful lassie, I didn't catch her name but when I went in to see if I could return a damaged dress I bought online earlier in week and as i was trying it on at hotel to show hubby he noticed a tear so we went to the East kilbride shopping centre River island and got the most amazing , helpful and understanding lady, they didn't have my size but she helped me find something similar and saved my evening. Thanks so much for all your help

   Same thing I told Bon Marche... if you see a fashion disaster walking round your store aimlessly CLEARLY she is trying to find something... why not approach her and ask if she needs help instead of letting her wander? ridiculous

   Absolutely disgusted with River Island, a shop I have given my custom to for many years. Yesrerday I mistakenly bought a pack if 3 racer tops thinking they were briefs, for my young granddaughter. When I went back today to change them, I was told no, as they were classed as underwear. Nowhere on my receipt, or in the shop, is this displayed. Now I am left with useless items and am £10 out of pocket. Manager wouldn't even see me and assistant wouldn't give me her name. Poor show River Island.
