I go livewire 2 or 3 times a week , so many classes to choose from and you can meet new friends, great trainers too,
absolutely disgraceful to charge people £6.40 for a missed class that was a genuine mistake . I've been a member of livewire many times over the last few years never missed a class or forgot to cancel. booked a class for the wrong day in error, missed it and got charged . No 3 strikes , no warnings ,absolutely terrible way to treat people and not a good way to look after customers and aid retention . will never go back.
Orford Livewire Gym is shambles at present. The other recreational facilities are great but the Gym needs to get the AC fixed. Its unbearable in the current heat.
Staff on reception are very patient and welcoming and informative. Training staff are cheerful and encouraging. It could be better if all of the showers in the women's changing room were working - reportedly awaiting another company for a few weeks. More individual changing rooms would be welcome.
I became a member of Livewire facility about a week ago, and I am still thinking on whether to continue my membership due to several concerns I’ve encountered. Firstly, I’ve noticed that during certain times, priority is often given to groups of children or teens, which limits access to some facilities for regular members. Additionally, many of the classes scheduled around 6-7 pm are reserved for women and children, meaning that members like myself have to wait until 8:30 pm to use those spaces. Another issue I’ve faced is that during swimming sessions is that people waiting for their kids or gym-goers can watch us all the time to be watching but as member you are not allowed to observe even 2 minutes from a new class to gauge interest, often being asked to leave. Kicked out cause some groups of children have priority, kicked out from watching 2 minutes of a new class I may be interested.. The process of setting up an account has also been challenging. Despite receiving a useless card, the system requires generating a QR code to scan daily before entry. This often involves multiple interactions with the front desk staff, who have been very kind and helpful, but seem to be hindered by the limitations of the app. Booking each session in advance is time-consuming, and there’s often uncertainty about availability or whether events will take precedence. Overall, these experiences have left me questioning what members are truly allowed to do within the facility. Unfortunately, after just a short period, I already feel frustrated by the repeated disruptions to my access and use of the gym. Please change your system... Thank you.

The gym, pool and racket sport facilities are great membership is well priced and staff are all very professional and approachable. If you are looking for a gym give these a go. Plus love using the library.

Lovely staff and a fantastic place with everything you need in one place. The cleaning staff do an amazing job keeping the place hygienic as well.
Whilst the gyms and pool are nice the rest of the set up is an absolute shambles. Every number you call goes unanswered, given the facilities open really early in the morning one would expect there to be someone answering the telephone. It can't be argued that there is no-one there as I tried every one of the numbers given when they go through the annoying "if you want to inquire about this dial 1 etc etc" Yet for everyone of those numbers after a number of rings you get told to hang up and try later! Never come across such an abysmal set up!!
