“We had a fantastic time at the Museum of Policing in Cheshire! It was such a fun and engaging experience for the whole family - the kids were thoroughly entertained, and there was plenty of fascinating history and insight for the adults too. A special mention to Len and Steve, who were both incredibly knowledgeable and made the visit even more enjoyable with their enthusiasm and good humour. “A small but nice peaceful place to visit. Lovely borders, three very nice ponds and the cafe is well worth a visit. The walled areas were great with the fruit trees growing against them and the old glass houses made it feel like stepping back in time.”

“Really nice nature reserve. Visited on a moody November day, but still enjoyed seeing a lot of greenery like different kind of moss and the colours of the trees. Mini-marsh area was the highlight for me. Would be amazing to see it with the rhododendrons in bloom.”

“It's a amazing park. So clam and quiet place. This park includes lakes, bridges, some view points, maze etc... If you are feeling bored, just had a walk through the park, you will feel happy.”

“Came here for a Sunday morning walk at about 11 and there was plenty of space in the car park. This place is very big and quite wild - which we really enjoyed. We walked for about an hour and a half and barely saw any other humans. Lots of places to watch birds at the edge of the water and some beautiful flowers in bloom everywhere. Will definitely come back.”

“Inside it has a curry house called birchwood spice and the food is very nice, the good thing here is you can separate the restaurant from the pub and have a nice drink before or after. Plenty of parking”

“Since the refurbishment this is a great gym to use. Haven't tried classes here but the main gym has massively improved since the refurb.”

It could be better if all of the showers in the women's changing room were working - reportedly awaiting another company for a few weeks. More individual changing rooms would be welcome.”

“Lightshaw Meadows is a beautiful place which includes a smaller Flash and wetlands and a Copse field with a community Orchard - apples, pears, medlars, hazelnuts etc and then leads on to Byrom Hall Wood. Byrom Hall wood is a very diverse wood with many Sessile and Pendunculate oaks and alot of wildlife and biodiversity. An important wildlife corridor which connects up with Pennington Flash NNR. Can be accessed via Dover Lock, Byrom Hall Wood or Lightshaw Lane off Slag Lane near to recycling centre. Footpath entry via Heybrook riding centre.”

“Lovely walking area - and good views from the top on a clear day - especially Guy Fawkes and New Years Day. There's a play area for young children and a foot path that goes all round the park.”
