“Such a lovely, tranquil place to escape to. You need a fob to gain access which is easily obtained via the website or just hang around the gate long enough aha. Clean toilets on site and tennis courts. One of my fave places to take a book and relax”
“First time at an easy hotel and it was lovely. I wasn’t sure what to expect for such a cheap stay, but the rooms are nice, light and welcoming, the staff are wonderful and so helpful. I spoke to 3 ladies whilst I was there who all assisted me with different things with big smiles and a welcoming nature! The lady I spoke with this morning is called Rachel and she was delightful. Two other ladies assisted me last night with a key card problem and an extra heater, really fantastic staff who think on their feet and go above and beyond to make your stay welcoming. I WILL BE BACK!x”
“Beautiful park, and so close to town! We always enjoy meeting with friends in the park for a picnic. Good to have the café and facilities close to hand and the beauty of the gardens and trees.”

“Expansive park which is intersected by the River Cole, it’s possible to do a large circuitous walk from the High St, along one side, through fields to woodland to wild meadow, cross a small bridge before getting to the A446, and return on the opposite side. There’s lots of wildlife if you’re observant, and plenty of open spaces for dog walking.”
“Fantastic venue, plenty of parking, loads of staff to guide you, and the pools are amazing. They have hydraulic floors enabling variable water depths. State of the art gym. Also all types of classes available”
“Lovely small instructional pool - great for smaller kids and those learning to swim. Friendly staff and great atmosphere - no lockers etc things are stored in cubicles around the pool. Have to book by phone but will need your leisure number (get one on Bham Council site)”
“I have used the facilities multiple times and I have found the staff welcoming and friendly. The pool is lovely and warm which makes swimming more enjoyable for me. I have seen multiple reviews about their car parking and ‘lack’ of signs for registering their vehicles. In my eyes you shouldn’t be driving if you can’t see multiple signs darted about, along with a 6ft banner in the reception area! In all great pool and staff”
“My teenage son and his friends go swimming here every Sunday after closing time during a private male only swimming session. They love it. P.s. the picture is taken from the backside of the building. Free parking is available at all times.”
“Very welcoming and helpful pleasant staff. I had a free open day trial session and thoroughly enjoyed my session. Very clean and was able to use all gym and joined into an excercise class. Enjoyed swimming and especially the jacuzzi, brilliantly hot steam room and sauna. Well worth going to. Well enjoyed my session. Thankyou”
“A long walking trail with spectacle views, you can spot different birds, wild walking trails and can pick some berries as well.”
“Cleanest pool I have seen in the west midlands, the changing rooms are dated but I am informed this is a work In progress. Staff are great and the lessons they teach are spot on. Great prices and welcoming feel This is now community run due to bham city Council no longer running it Great work guys”
“Lovely modern pool and gym. The staff are very friendly. My general health is much improved since I joined.”
“Swim here once or twice a week. Lovely personal greeting to me and my wife when we came yesterday and the same receptionist wished us a happy Christmas on our way out.”
“Wicked and me son loved it and me :))))))”
“I wanted to a leave a glowing review for one of your lifeguard /swim instructors. Charles is a great lad and has a great aptitude for teaching swimming lessons. My 6 year old lad has loved every lesson and has come on brilliantly in the short time spent with Charles. Grand work.”
“Great place to train and enjoy with the family”
“Our little girl has had baby and toddler lessons at Chessgrove and it’s been amazing. The only reason we’ve left is because we’re moving away. The staff are lovely and facilities are great. She’s nearly 2 and is so confident in the water. Every teacher has been fantastic and we’ve loved every lesson. We will really miss our Sunday morning swims. Couldn’t recommend more for anyone thinking about lessons.”
“My three kids have been to GSA for the last few years. The improvements in their swimming and confidence in the water have been worth every penny, and the enthusiasm and genuine sense of care from the likes of Lillia and Dan who have coached my current two kids has been stand out (a big compliment as I know through running my own coaching business the challenge of developing and retaining exceptional coaches)”
“S4 Swimming School is truly a standout in swim education! From the moment you walk in, it's clear that they prioritize not only skill development but also creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment for swimmers of all ages. The lessons are tailored to individual needs, and the instructors are patient, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. A special shoutout goes to Steph, the manager, who is nothing short of amazing. She is organized, approachable, and ensures that every detail is taken care of seamlessly. Whether it's scheduling lessons or addressing any concerns, Steph goes above and beyond to make sure that both parents and swimmers feel confident and cared for. Her warmth and professionalism really set the tone for the whole program. If you're looking for a swimming school that excels in every aspect, S4 is the place to be!”
“I had an awesome picnic time with my friends and family. There were games for most age groups, it was a great time.”
“The pool was beautiful, not too deep and very comfortable for swimming. There was plenty of room in the water as it wasn’t crowded at all. The changing rooms were spacious with many cubicles, which made everything easy. We really enjoyed our time there and would love to return.”
“If your thinking about taking swimming lessons, have kalok teach you. Very good swimming instructor”
“Amazing experience first time watching tennis live. If you love tennis you should do it. We got to watch one of the greats venus, Williams. There are different places to buy food and drink bit you could take your own. Staff were really good and helpful.”
“Great gym, would definitely recommend for the classes. I’ve been a member for a few years and the Box N Burn classes are my fav - they’re well-run by Tori and Thomas! They bring great energy, motivation and boxing technique and form which I appreciate. The Box N Burn classes always have good vibes and a great workout with a lovely group of people. Occasionally the treadmills and screens in the Burn Studio can be slow or don’t work so could use an upgrade, but understand that’s not down to the instructors. Overall great classes and a good workout!”
“Great range of kit, knowledgeable staff and looking forward to the new refurbished gym. The Spa area is also a huge bonus to help relax after a good workout.”
